Sounds Like
New Age/World Music for Personal Transformation and Empowerment
Pamela Lynn is known internationally as an accomplished World Percussionist, recording artist, speaker and seminar leader on the topic of self empowerment and personal transformation. Her unique and captivating sound was developed by fusing interwoven sounds of world rhythms, ethereal vocals and her own lyrical blend of style and grace. Pamela's natural sense of artistry enables her to be a dynamic entertainer and an inspirational teacher, compelled to share her gifts with an ever-growing audience.
Pamela understands and embraces issues facing women around the world, and expresses her concerns through her music as well as being an active supporter of efforts to raise awareness and address these issues. On her latest CD, "Fearless and Feminine: A Voice of Intuitive Rhythms," Pamela pledges a portion of her sales to Equality Now, an international women's human rights organization.
Her mission is to make a significant contribution to society by living a life of social conscience, while following her passion for drumming and music. She is dedicated to creating empowering World/New Age music for conscience inspired thinkers.
"Promise Not To Tell and Please Listen" are the first two single of her upcoming album "UNSTOPPABLE: A Message from the Soul"
Dear Myspace Friends,
It is a pleasure to share with you my artistic vision for my upcoming album 'UNSTOPPABLE: A Message from the Soul'. I appreciate your continued support and your encouraging comments!
My intention is not to create an album. My intention is to create a small miracle.
The lyrics of my songs will embrace my own personal journey which has encompassed a kaleidoscope of emotions: joy, grief, passion, appreciation, wonder, sadness, longing, love. My aim is to create music which will soften hearts—music that will inspire a sense of courage, compassion, empathy and hope. By speaking my own truth I want to encourage people to do the same, especially women who often do not let their voices be heard. Many drummers have cleared a path for me in world music. Now I would like to extend this path into uncharted territory. Estimated time until completion 2yrs.
Unstoppable: A Message from the Soul' is a conscience inspired album—a part of my life's mission to contribute to the world. ~ Pamela Lynn
'Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.' (Victor Hugo)
Pamela’s new solo album (Fall 2006) is entitled "Fearless and Feminine: A Voice of Intuitive Rhythms." With intimacy, and a belief in the power of expression through rhythm, Pamela Lynn has created a reflective collection of original compositions. Blending traditional rhythms with powerful new arrangements, a rich and intriguing voice emerges: bold yet vulnerable, confident but questioning. From energetic, complex drumming to sensitive, captivating vocals, Pamela explores her story, her beliefs and her mystery. All instrumental and vocal performances on this CD are by Pamela.
An instructional CD called, “Essential Rhythms for Personal Empowerment” was released early in 2006. Pamela designed the twenty energetic rhythms to inspire, and encourage the listeners’ natural creativity, and help them take their first steps toward Freestyle Drumming. With the development of basic and more advanced skill, the learning drummers have the ability to enjoy the positive physical and emotional benefits of spontaneous rhythms.
Pamela’s mission is to make a significant contribution to society by living a life of social conscience, while following her passion for drumming.
