Using over 100 percussion instruments from around the world, Bill Marconi takes his audiences ona musical odyssey extending from early civilization to modern times. Each story along the way vividly springs to life through recorded excerpts and live demonstrations of such instruments as the Djembe, Shakere, and Talking Drum. No wonder so many members of the audience enthusiastically join the celebration during the grand finale!
Bill Marconi's Rhythms of the World has been a hit in elementary schools, libraries, bookstores and other kid-friendly locations. Recommended by teachers, music therapists and parents, this program has been used to enrich cultural arts curricula, celebrate diversity and to round out music programs.
I'm proud to give you "Heavy In The Beats Vol. 1 - A Different Drum", the first installment in my FREE mixtape series dedicated to drums and percussion. "Volume 1" focuses on the avant garde side of the instrument, and features pieces from Billy Martin (of Medeski Martin & Wood), myself, and others!
