About me:
Welcome to the MySpace page for the "MySpace world record attempt". We are attempting to make MySpace history by getting the most 'friends' for a single MySpace profile!
Just to confirm: This is being ran by myself, not MySpace.com to see how many people can join. This is NOT a 'whoring/train' gimmick. This account will be used for no other purpose than this MySpace record attempt!
"Tom" (the websites owner), automatically becomes your 'friend' when you register to MySpace, but we are attempting to set the record for the most people who manually opt to become a 'friend' to a profile, and you can be apart of it!
We will also be submitting, some time in the near future, a request to the Guinness World Record company - to see if this can be officially recognised as a world record attempt. According to their website, they are interested in "[records that are] of the greatest interest to people worldwide", and what could be of more interested to most people worldwide, than a world record that centers around the worlds most popular community website?
The world record process takes up to six weeks to be reviewed, so there is no rush to submit this world record for inspection. Instead, we want to get the ball rolling and prove this as a serious world record attempt, by getting as many people as we can to become our 'friends'. Once we feel we have a large amount of people as 'friends', we will then submit our world record attempt proposal.
So, for now, we need your help! And that of your friends! We need as many people to join us, as friends, on this profile. By doing this, you will be participating in the world record attempt for the most friends on a MySpace profile.
Even if this isn't officially recognised by the Guinness World Record company, although we hope it will, this will certainly be a piece of MySpace history, and we hope you will take part in it!
The exact number of people on MySpace is not officially stated, but it is expected to be a figure of 55,000,000. So here is a target, which we hope to get as close as possible to!
