I agree - the sooner we ignore him, the less significance he makes as being a pot-stirrer. Thank you for your making the show a podcast, as my career does not allow me to listen to the live show. Apart from the kids and the wife (I was made to say that), you are the highlight of my day! Please keep the show strong and for long!
Cristiano Ronaldo would seem to be a strange choice to list as flopping but once again when his supreme talents were needed in the last eight clash with Germany he was not really to be seen.
Indeed UEFA evidently don't see him in the same light as Real Madrid - whose constant links with the player probably didn't help him - as he was not included even in the top 23 players adjudged by European football's ruling body following the final.
"It wasn't that I played badly, it was because my team-mates didn't play according to the plan," was the 23-year-old's assessment of the German loss
yesterday was one of the most dramatic games and also insightful. i think that ger definitely needs to step it up if they want to dominate the final. should russia win i think we could see another ger v tur rematch so to speak.
TRUE TRUE, BUT TO SHUT SPAIN DOWN AND LOSE LIKE THAT HURRRTTTS. I THINK DE NATALE AND AQUILANI SHOULD START, BUT I THOUGHT DEL PIERO SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THERE ALSO. THE ATTACK NEEDS TO SUIT LUCA TONI S STYLE, ALOT MORE SERVICE. PIRLO WAS REALLY MISSED. THOUGHTS ON A LIPPI RETURN ??
