I put together a montage of media reaction from all over the country for fun. I love some of banter this Mohawk thing caused with some of these anchors! Hope ya like it:
CNN Headline News LIVE INTERVIEW with Wayne Brekke and me!
The record for world’s tallest Mohawk according to Guinness is 53 centimeters, held by a man in Boston. A guy in Germany broke it in August at 61 centimeters, but the Boston man's record is officially still holding with Guinness. My length of 68.5 centimeters has been sent to Guinness, so the record sould be officially brought home to Omaha soon.
One of the requirements is to get the record-breaking attempt in the media, and I have definately done that. The Mohawk conformed to all other Guinness regulations, which state that it will be held up by hairspray, gel, or mousse.
I got the idea when I saw the former record holder on The Ellen Show. When he said how long it was, I knew I could beat it.
I happen to know from working at Universal Press Clipping Bureau that Guinness record attempts are picked up by the media all over the country all the time. I gave it some thought, and decided to use this opportunity to raise money and awareness for charity, and bring together as many people and business as I could to get involved.
The day came together so well and was a complete success, thanks to all the help from the sponsors and everyone involved.
Thank you so much, this has been a great learning experience, and a lot of fun!
Friday morning, November 14th, 10:00 A.M., at Capitol School of Hair Styling, Eric Hahn of The Filthy Few dawned a Mohawk that stood 27 inches tall, destroying the former record of 24 inches! The entire event was a complete success. Worlds of Wayne recorded the whole process and put together a kick-ass video of highlights, check it out below!
The benefit concert on the eve of Fiday November 14th for
and
was awesome!
Cordial Spew thrashed, Bloodcow ripped, Somwhere Between Heaven and Hell crushed, Filthy Few indulged, Live Wire killed, and $811 was reaised for the charities!
A BIG thank you to all the bands, sponsors, everyone involved who helped make this day possible, and especially all of you who came out to the Waiting Room. You truly have made a positive impact on the lives of many people.

I've just sent you a Sunday Sundae for your Willy's Sweet Shop. Can you please send me one back? The more gifts we send the more money we can raise for St. Jude Children's Hospital.
