The Wormhole hosted this jazz-fusion Web of Mimicry act featuring members of Secret Chiefs III and Estradasphere on May 12th. The band admitted that they thought their Savannah gig "was going to suck." Now they have a new positive conception about playing in Savannah and this is definitely a step towards getting more national touring acts of all varieties to stop in our weird little town. Thank you to EVERYONE who took the time to come out on a Tuesday night and see this band and support our venue and the proliferation of quality original music. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

WE ARE CASH ONLY. The closest ATM is the gas station at Victory and Abercorn or the Sun Trust right across from it.

The Wormhole is a new music venue recently opened in Savannah, Georgia. We are a friendly, open minded music club offering a stage to local and touring acts. We host shows spanning a variety of genres loosely tied under the "alternative" heading. We are also not limiting ourselves to music, and encourage performers in theater, comedy, and art to also inquire about booking at the Wormhole.

Cover Charge: On weekdays we have free shows and do a "suggested donation" instead of a cover (unless its a big event or band coming through) and on Friday and Saturday we may have a small cover depending on what band is playing. We don't generally start the cover until 9pm in most cases, and we stop taking it after the bands are done. The cover goes directly to the bands to offset some of their expenses for performing. Our beer prices are very affordable which totally makes up for it. You could go to some other place with no cover and then pay extra for your beer, so why not just hang with us?? :)

We are located in the Starland area. We have convenient parking. Please do not park at liquor store until after midnight.

We start shows at 9:30 Mon-Thursday and after 10pm on Friday and Saturday!

Booking Info: DO NOT REQUEST BOOKING HERE. Please fill out our booking request form at www.wormholebar.com. For questions please write to wormholebooking@yahoo.com. I generally ignore booking requests through myspace because it means you did not bother to read the venue's profile and review their policies and procedures, much less try to determine if we're a good venue for your band.

We are open to booking a variety of genres, however the bands that will work here best will be the ones emphasizing creativity, a new take on a genre, or a departure from the typical.
IF THE DATE YOU WANT IS TAKEN: you can still ask about it, incase we get a cancellation, or we could possibly add you to the bill, or it might be a filler event we can sacrifice.

We do not do booking at the bar, but you are welcome to talk to us about your band or give us CDs in person. However you must fill out a booking form no matter what because I need your bands description when it comes time to promote you. Due to the volume of requests, we are not always able to get back with everyone who requests booking.

We give priority to bands with a complete EPK (even if it is your Myspace) that includes necessary information to promote you (brief description of your style/sound that we can COPY AND PASTE--we don't have time to sit here and write stuff for you!!!--along with a handful of recognizable influences. Optionally, if you include links to an MP3 to share, and a high res photo it will help us promote you even more. If you do not have a description, influences, etc. on your Myspace/EPK, we will probably not book you, because we won't be able to effectively promote you.
