one thing i did not mean to leave out is, how am i supposed to be a stranger helping strangers if i no longer have money to give or to buy the food to donate?
My name is Nicole. I am 25 years old and have spent all of it in Greenfield. I have seen many a Strange Creek festival and wormtown fall festival go by. I have also noticed that as the economy has fallen over the last two + years, so have risen the admittance prices to get into the festivals.
Do the people of Wormtown understand what this means? What I have seen thus far is that it is becoming increasingly more difficult each year for locals of greenfield to aquire admittance to these festivals unless they volunteer their services to wormtown for the weekend. While I do see this as a partially good thing, I also see this as an insult.
within the last two years, StrangeCreek alone has gone up forty USD. What this, in the end will make sure of is that Greenfield will be supporting a festival meant for people from out of town or out of state. Our police officers are/will be distracted and kept very busy by these fests and have to work harder to keep the rest of the town safe. If this keeps up, the majority of Greenfield will no longer support or want Wormtown to continue to come back.
After arriving at StrangeCreek naught but two hours ago and being turned away because I didn't have $80.00 per person I was mystified. I remember going to several fests at camp kee and not ever paying more than 50 bucks. What i begin to wonder, is where is this money going if not into richer peoples pockets? Why, as times get harder, do Companies believe that it is smarter to take more of an advantage of people? I feel like the Town locals are being weeded out. If somebody could help me with these issues i'm surrounded by that would be lovely. until then, i think i will think a little differently of Wormtown trading Co.
