I am Dr. Abner Mality, Chief Scientist at Wormwood Laboratories, and I welcome you to the Wormspace...the Myspace page for Wormwood Chronicles webzine. I have been toiling in the dungeons for 8 long years working on this frightening slab of pseudo-journalistic terrorism and the page you are currently looking at it is merely the latest step in Wormwood' plans of world conquest. We started as a modest paper zine that lasted for 12 issues before finally becoming a net-only zine several years ago.
What is the Wormwood Chronicles, you ask? Well, it is a reflection of our own demented minds, dealing with underground culture on many different levels. POP FANS AND MALL RATS, FLEE OR YOU MAY BE EATEN ALIVE BY THE UNADULTERATED CHAOS YOU ENCOUNTER HERE! We mainly focus on MUSIC, primarily HEAVY METAL. From the classic sounds of metal's golden age to the most obscure and underground death and black metal crawling from the tombs of today, we examine many facets of this greatest of all forms of music. We've interviewed many bands at all stages of the game and here is just a small sample of those we've talked to: Overkill, King Diamond, Motorhead, Queensryche, Anthrax, Judas Priest, Dismember, Dio, Akercocke, GWAR and many, many more. But metal is only part of our musical menu. You'll also find punk, progrock and just plain flat out rock and roll. Check out the Torture Chamber section for hundreds of reviews of all sorts of underground artists. Here at Wormspace, we'll keep you updated on the latest additions.
That's not all, boys and ghouls! We also love cult films and TV shows...not for us are the boring CGI-infested mainstream pap-fests at the multiplex. We've examined the most obscure and strange examples of cinema and have interviewed the likes of Sid "Captain Spaulding" Haig, Michael "Hills Have Eyes" Berryman and the King of Gore, H.G. Lewis himself. Our Philm Phreaks section is full of movie oddities.
We also have sections looking at pro wrestling...we've interviewed the likes of ECW's Jerry Lynn and the legendary Sir Oliver Humperdink...and the strange phenomena that makes our small planet so interesting.
