We are back from our European Tour and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
We sincerely THANK everyone who put us up and made delicious foods for our hairy faces, all the new best pals who boogied down with us (and yes we really are Kings of Leon), FightFightFight for rocking out with us and letting us use their gear, Jay the great navigator and bouncy ball champion (you totally got 14), Morocco (or Corocco, both really), the Autobahn Polize, the vans clutch, and on and on... We would like to place powerful terrible vexes on our GPS who sent us down dead end dirt roads in France farmlands in the middle of the night and then laughed and yelled at us to get back on course.
We are members of Free Diamonds (Deep Elm) & Forsake Ya to the Snakes (Supermedic) melted into a broken computer with arms and legs like real boys.
the Decider(Madison)-
"Milwaukee band Worrier sure has one foot in the crowded genre of danceable post-punk, with its prickly, hyper drums and basslines and weirdly yelped vocals, but there’s also something more delicate at work here. The band’s chirp-toned guitars, for one, help to lighten up these claustrophobic-feeling tunes with spaced-out melodies. The effect might compel folks to get up and twitch along to the beat, but also to slow down and appreciate the music’s unexpectedly inviting layers. Worrier’s also working on getting a full-length out sometime this fall."
the ONION(Madison)-
"Milwaukee band Worrier certainly loves twitching drum patterns and a sense of cranky detachment, but the tracks it's preparing for an upcoming album aim for interplay that's uncommon in this decades stubborn trend of brooding-yet-danceable rock. Instead of jabbing in lock-step, Worrier's guitars, synths, and vocals patiently chirp, whisper, drift, and weave across channels, accomplishing as much in drumless breaks as in punchy outbursts. In that, it's not unlike Foals, the buzzing British group Worrier opened for on its last Madison stop. The difference is that Worrier seems interested in using its open spaces to fuller advantage."
ISTHMUS (Madison)-
"WORRIER: a genius mishmash of noise guitar, ethereal atmospherics, driving bass lines and dance beats brought to you by former members of Forsake Ya to the Snakes and Free Diamonds."
Full length album Slated for October 26. With supporting tours to the west and possibly EU/UK.
