Your heart thumps, pounds, sometimes erratically, causing your rib cage to rattle…your body doesn’t know how to handle this. Or does it? Your vision blurs as lucidity gives way to hallucination…and your mind’s eye winces. But you can’t look away. You don’t want to. The metallic odor returns but this time stronger, you can taste it on your tongue. A viscous sludge slurs your words as you try to convince yourself that you haven’t gone mad. But now you thirst. In bloodlust rage your muscles spasm and you reach out to those around you in a violent embrace. An unrivaled thrashing of skin, hair, and teeth takes place in a caldron of convulsive onlookers. Still the air is thick, raw. You struggle to breathe. Is this death? A dream? No…you feel far too alive!
