Holy Spirit, Evie, My daughters Shar and Desi. Can't forget Shars husband Nick and baby Lilly.
Musically... Beatles, Paul McCartney, Foreigner, Styx, Elton John, Billy Joel, Bryan Duncan and those great bands of the 70's who created melodic music with great vocal arrangements.
I guess I should also include Elvis.
It was 1970, 7th row center at the International Hotel (later became the Hilton) in Vegas and I was 11 yrs old front and center.
Imagine being 11 years old and spitting distance from him (when you are 11, spitting distance was the true test of measurement).

Kenny Metcalf is the ORIGINAL OWNER of the NAME Justa Band for 20 years now. He started the band after leaving Stryper in 1986.
Another Jazz group has now stepped in to "STEAL" my publically viewed name. They are here on Myspace. Their music is good, but the name does not belong to them, and they REFUSE to do the right thing.

I left Stryper to stay home and raise my daughters and nurture my relationship with my wife Evie. Evie and I became youth pastors from 1986-2001
We have been married since Oct of 1980. I am still madly in love with Evie and she with me.
Both my daughters are now grown and serving Christ with their gifts and talents.
My oldest daughter is married and has a great husband. They both are now parents themselves. Thus making Evie and I incredibly happy to hang with Lilly, their newest addition.

I don't write for commercial appeal. I really don't want to sound like everyone else.
I write because I love music and the emotions a melody can bring to the surface and the lyrical content that will follow.
"Cover Me" &
"I Will Worship You" are those type of songs.
"All My Life" is a declaration song.
Many songwriters write from things they have never experienced. Words contained in my songs flow from the things I have lived.
Some of my songs are simple in lyrical content, but they all make deep statements of my committment to my God.
I am passionate about music! This passion causes me to write & play music for the pure purpose of expressing my "God given talent" back to the one who gave me the gift.
There is also something in each song that only comes from God... a genuine opportunity for healing.
