Sounds Like
A lot of people in a hurry to write some songs, make a record and put on a benefit concert....in only 4 weeks!
Also a nice cup of coffee by a warm fire with jazz in the air!
Sometime around the end of October we got together to write some songs and 4 weeks later we have a record of songs we wrote...but not just songs for the sake of writing them...songs with a huge purpose! The following should explain to you what this record is all about and why we would do such a thing!
Hope.
We left Romania filled with hope. We left Romania longing to leave hope.
Nevertheless, we left Romania. And when we got home, so many faces were emblazoned on our hearts.
Not the least of these were tiny faces we had seen in a place called Estera.
Estera is a ministry dedicated to the abolition of abortion in Romania. The walls of their offices are covered with pictures of lives rescued. Little babies who were given their lives by their mothers because of the faith of the few people who work at this ministry. Romania is notorious for its abortion rate, for its hopelessness, for the desperation of its women. Our team heard stories about families brought back together through the redemption of chosen children.
We shared tears and prayers for the heartache we felt in those rooms. And then one morning, we sat in America and shared how those stories have changed our lives, and we realized that their stories are our stories. We are children who are redeemed and chosen to worship our Father.
A Father who is in love with life.
A Father who pursues life at every turn.
And so, as we have been given much, much is required. We long to come alongside these beautiful people to rescue generations of a nation in trouble.
These precious unborn children are people chosen for the worship of Christ, because the WORTH of His life has given WORTH to ours. And what better time to remember life, than the season that celebrates the life of a Baby who gave His life for ours?
God has broken us for the loss of life in Romania, and so we respond. We respond by singing songs of life.
Songs of children.
Songs of praise.
Songs of celebration.
Songs of worth.
Songs of hope.
