About me:I was born in Portland, Maine, but also spent my formative years in Georgia, Virginia, and New York. In grade school I gained slight notoriety--and detention--for caricatures of my teachers. My comic strip in Northwestern University’s student newspaper was honored by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association; and my most recent work, "Small Wonder," has been featured in Michael Jantze’s "The Norm Magazine," Viper Comic's website, and the Panel Mammals.
Recently I have been collaborating with Dwight MacPherson on a webcomic/graphic novel entitled "Kid Houdini and the Silver-Dollar Misfits." It will debut over at the Chemistry Set on October 31, All Hallow's Eve.
My family and I now live near Chicago; along with Newt, Jackie, Carver, raccoons, skunks, maniacal birds, a mangy cat, and more bunnies than you can shake a stick at. I credit my children with being a constant source of perspiration.
Who I'd like to meet:Harpo Marx, Charles Schulz, Jeff MacNelly, Chuck Jones, Walt Kelly, Theodore Geisel, Bill Hicks, and Harry Houdini. Wait a minute! They're all dead. Wonder what that means ...
Okay, now for some living, breathing people: Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner, Bob Newhart, Brad Bird, John Lasseter, George Lucas, Tim Burton, Bill Amend, Berkeley Breathed, and the ever-elusive Bill Watterson.
