hard to describe - you have to hear it! every album is different and has a special focus, sometimes very quiet sometimes ecstatic, using lots of different instruments from different cultures - it's worldmusic.
Felix Maria Woschek is a true world-musician. During the last twenty-five years he has managed to interpret the most beautiful Spirituals in the world afresh and contributed to world-peace. When he sings Indian bhajans or the mantra songs of Jews and Sufis, listeners cannot help but open their hearts and join in the singing. He has thus already attracted the attention of great Indian and Persian musicians, and among his 14 albums published 7 with the great Ustad Sultan Khan.
To bring different cultures together and let people feel the unity of all religions he founded a band with Ustad Sultan Khan and Mohammad & Christa Eghbal from Ahura. Their recent program can be heard on the Album "Through Love", a blend of Indian Devotionals, Rhajstani-Sufi music, Persian Sufi-songs based on the poetry of Dschellaledin Rumi and Sephardic Songs.
Felix believes in productions that are both elaborate and inspired. He is also proverbially able to carry the growing number of visitors to his concerts away with him. The many enthusiastic and grateful letters he receives show that he is able to give people something important with his music and performances.
