Bringing lyrics dripping with pain and raw emotion alongside music with an aggressive nature, Wounded By Honesty is catching audiences off guard.
Starting somewhere near 2005, Wounded By Honesty began writing songs and practicing in their own studio, DarkShore Records. Soon enough, they were tearing up local Southern California venues. In dives and renowned clubs alike, WBH loves to throw down wherever and whenever. Wounded has played The Whisky A Go-Go, B.B. Kings, The Troubadour, The Londoner, The Vu, Goodfellas, Suburbia, The Roxy, and Paladino’s just to name a few. In 2006 and 2007, while playing live shows, Wounded By Honesty was laying down tracks in the studio for their first album, Promises and Lies. In 2008, after a small hiatus, WBH released Promises and Lies and has begun to rock live shows again to promote their album.
Wounded by Honesty’s influences range from the well known to the obscure including; The Cure, Metallica, Megadeth, Ramones, Bad Religion, Pantera, NIN and Type O Negative. In addition, bands off the beaten path such as Acid Bath, Christian Death, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult and KMFDM have influenced WBH equally. This is only to name a very few influences. Wounded By Honesty’s members all draw from all of their influences to bring a fresh sound to the music.
