WOVEN GOLD is made up of people from around the world who have come to England seeking refuge from extreme cruelty in their own countries - from Burma, Congo, Eritrea, Guinea, Iran, Kenya, Kurdistan, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Uganda... They are all clients of the Helen Bamber Foundation, a charity that offers medical, therapeutic and practical support to survivors of gross human rights violations. .. With professional musicians who donate their time the group arranges traditional songs they bring from their own countries, devise their own compositions, and perform. .. .. .. ..’We are all outcast people, we are not allowed to do anything.
