Heroes
You are so young, so before all beginning, and I want to beg you, as much as I can, to be patient towards all that is unsolved in your heart, and to try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.

She had found a jewel down inside herself and she had wanted to walk where people could see her and gleam it around. But she had been set in the market-place to sell. Been set for still-bait. When God had made The Man, he made him out of stuff that sung all the time and glittered all over. Then after that some angels got jealous and chopped him into millions of pieces, but still he glittered and hummed. So they beat him down to nothing but sparks but each little spark had a shine and a song. So they covered each one over with mud. And the lonesomeness in the sparks make them hunt for one another, but the mud is deaf and dumb. Like all the other tumbling mud-balls, Janie had tried to show her shine.

Come to the edge.
We might fall.
Come to the edge.
It's too high!
COME TO THE EDGE!
And they came,
and he pushed,
and they flew.

About me: Everything is clapping today,
light,
sound,
motion,
all movement.
A rabbit I pass pulls a cymbal
from a hidden pocket
then winks.
This causes a few planets and I
to go nuts
and start grabbing each other.
Someone sees this,
calls a
shrink,
tries to get me
committed
for
being too
Happy.
Listen: this world is the lunatic’s sphere,
don’t always agree it’s real,
even with my feet upon it,
and the postman knowing my door,
my address is somewhere else.
Be helpless, dumbfounded,
unable to say yes or no.
Then a stretcher will come from grace to gather us up.
We are too dull-eyed to see that beauty.
If we say we can, we're lying.
If we say no, we don't see it,
that no will behead us
and shut tight our window onto spirit.
So let us rather not be sure of anything,
beside ourselves, and only that, so
miraculous beings come running to help.
Crazed, lying in a zero circle, mute,
we shall be saying finally,
with tremendous eloquence, lead us.
When we have totally surrendered to that beauty,
we shall be a mighty kindness.
Who I'd like to meet: There is a game we should play,
and it goes like this:
We hold hands and look into each other’s eyes
and scan each other’s face.
Then I say,
“Now tell me a difference you see between us.”
And you might respond,
“Wesmont, your nose is ten times bigger than mine!”
Then I would say,
“Yes, my dear, almost ten times!”
But let’s keep playing.
Let’s go deeper,
Go deeper.
For if we do,
our spirits will embrace
and interweave.
Our union will be so glorious
that even God
will not be able to tell us apart.
There is a wonderful game
we should play with everyone
and it goes like this…
Salsa and the Sea Body: Salsa Familia this Saturday at 2pm to 6pm on Ocean Front walk next to the Santa Monica Pier and the kids Aquarium! All Salseras and Salseros are welcome for a day of outdoor dancing. Wes, You shine so brightly in tango! It is amazing how you can walk off the salsa floor and tune into tango so quickly. So versatile and natural. I can't wait for us to sashay on both salsa and tango!! And you run with the bulls too!! Amazing.
