Adams Approach's Interests
General
What everyone's been saying about the Adams Approach:
"Dealing with many daily stresses of living in LA, and working as an accountant & tutor, I really benefit from going to Yoga on the Beach. The entire experience is calming, prepares me for the upcoming week, and helps me re-center my focus on improving my body & soul. It is a wonderful opportunity to focus on myself, learn relaxation techniques (such as breathing & new mantras that I can utilize when needed), stretch, achieve peace of mind & clarity, and gain energy. Additionally, when you take into account the surroundings, that in itself is wonderfully rejuvenating: the warmth of the sun, the smell of clean air, the sound of the crashing waves, and the feel of the sand between your toes. All of this blends into a positive plenary event.
Jason has extensive knowledge & a calming presence. He is very considerate & takes a genuine interest in people obtaining their personal goals. I would highly recommend this opportunity." -Megan O'Connor
"As a working actor/musician, I believe massage therapy should be as much a part of every artist's routine as acting classes, guitar lessons, or mixing paints. And your unique & personalized 'Adams Approach' to massage therapy is truly a blessing to the art itself. So in short...see ya soon, Jason!" -Christian Keiber, actor/musician
"As a classically trained singer I have experienced the toll that a performance lifestyle tends to put on the body. Jason has a wonderful understanding of this plight and successfully released the muscles of my diaphragm, jaw, face, and neck leaving me relaxed and tension-free for a potentially stressful performance. His bodywork is deeply effective and yet extremely relaxing. As a fellow massage therapist, I am, perhaps, the toughest of critics and I am able to confidently say that Jason is an amazing healer!" -Juli Robbins, vocalist/actress/massage therapist
"Many thanks to Jason who reminds us of the importance of yoga for personal health and peace of mind." -David Gibson, editor, Saxophone Journal/Jazz Player
"Jason, you truly understand what I need to eliminate stress from my body. Technique is perfect, and your personal aura puts me in a state of total relaxation. Simply fantastic!" -Kiera Hansen, professional ballet dancer
"Thank you, Jason, for your personal attention, your expertise, and your sincere kindness. When I made my New Year's resolution to start taking better care of myself, I never thought I'd actually stick with it, until that is, I met you. I can't let a month go by without your amazing massages! I feel less stressed (Thank God!), my body aches are virtually nonexistent, and I have less headaches. You are an important part of my life! I'm so glad I found you!!!" -Heather Freedman, actress
"THANK YOU SO MUCH for your many gifts! Please know how grateful I am to know you and that I look very much forward to another session with you soon. My shoulders can't stop talking about how excited they are. You are a skilled practitioner." -Renita, casting director
"Jason! You did such an amazing job on my neck!!! I slept like a baby for the first time in a long time!" -Stephanie Smith, writer
"Thank you sooooo much! Your massage was excellent!!!!!!" -Katie Weber, pilates instructor
"You are fantastic!" -Morgan Snyder, actress
"You can be sure I will be back to see you come January. I can't thank you enough for helping me so much after only one visit. I feel as if I understand my body so much more now, and have the ability to change it...where before, it felt tough and knotted. I'm lucky to have found someone that can help me change my stature." -Laura Kasek, film production/direction

When pro musicians overstress their bodies and minds, they turn to therapist Jason Adams to help relieve their injuries. Through education, personal training, & therapeutic massage, Adams helps professional musicians restore their physical and mental performance to optimum levels.
With his diverse training in multiple fields, Jason is quickly becoming well recognized by the music industry. Working with musicians who are under intense physical and mental strain—classical violinists who practice/perform hours a day, pro guitarists with shoulder/spinal injuries, and more acute and localized injuries like TMJ or carpal tunnel problems—Adams is sought-after by those seeking his experience and insight into music-related injuries.
His extensive study in classical and jazz music—saxophone, flute, clarinet, piano, voice, guitar, and percussion—lends Jason a unique insight into the specific stresses that musicians undergo each and every day during their practice, recording, and performance sessions. Jason blends this music background with his training in yoga and massage therapy, bringing a very introspective and intuitive knowledge base to his practice.
Practicing yoga for more than six years, Jason is greatly interested in how yoga and music can affect each other. As a result, Adams completed a series of articles for the Saxophone Journal in 2005. He has since been in demand nationally with his Yoga for Musicians lectures, having appeared at numerous symposiums and conferences. His series discusses some of the beneficial aspects that yoga—specifically Hatha yoga, breathing exercises, & meditation—can provide to a musician. In addition to his lectures, Jason is currently writing a text focusing on incorporating yoga into musical practice and performance.
As a Registered Yoga Teacher and Licensed Massage Therapist, Adams incorporates innovative techniques to help musicians attain beneficial results—such as working on the diaphragm of vocalists through massage techniques and yogic breathing exercises. In their daily lives, musicians are under a lot of physical and mental stress—and Adams is striving to alleviate those tensions.
If you're a musician, and this sounds interesting, drop me a line...
