This myspace used to be just a fan site created and managed by Whitney Peyton fans. But now its been taken over and changed into a site for Whitney's fans AND her street team. This is a place where Street Team members from different states can communicate and connect!
If you are "friends" with this myspace account that doesn't mean you are automatically on the Street Team.. its much more involved than that.. if you are on the Street Team you have submitted your name and address to the list and received (or will be receiving) Whitney Peyton merchandise in the mail.
If you are NOT on the street team but you would like to learn what it involves then please read the info below!.
What is a street team?? It's basically an organized group of fans who volunteer to help promote an artist!
Being on the street team is supposed to be fun and a way to support a musician you like and you feel deserves to grow in popularity!
We mail out our street team members Demos, Flyers, Stickers..ect to hand out to family, friends (or random strangers walking down the street lol). Also when ever Whitney does a show in your city (or nearby city) you will be personally invited to the show and we will send you flyers advertising that show in the hopes that you will try and get a lot of people you know to come. We would also hope that you would post some things online (such as bulletins ect) letting people know that Whitney will be in your city doing a show!
Please DO NOT join the street team to simply receive free stuff. If you just want a demo we'll be happy to send it to you but being in the street team will mean you will be receiving things in bulk and it's really a waste of money in CDS, Stickers and postage if all that will just collect dust in your house where no one will see them. (unsigned artists live paycheck to paycheck just like you and do not make the kind of money to be doing that)
We really hope you join... things are sent every once in while to you and will not be coming constantly UNLESS you are really getting into it and you keep asking for more CDS... then you will continue getting stuff other than that we wont bug the hell out of you because being on a street team is not supposed to feel like a job or a chore! hahaha!
