Wreckhouse Mastering is a boutique mastering suite owned and operated by Peter Letros, former longtime mastering engineer at Sony Music Canada. Wreckhouse offers high quality/high resolution CD mastering at affordable rates in a comfortable home-based studio located in downtown Toronto.
Like many kids growing up in the sixties, I was greatly influenced by the British Invasion and became passionately interested in music. Subconsciously, I think I knew I would end up working in some music related field; and on graduating high school went straight to employment with one of the major record labels in the city, working in their shipping department.
Shortly thereafter, I ended up at CBS Records and spent most of my working life there through all it’s various incarnations. Always interested in audio and audio recording, I instantly gravitated to CBS’s mastering department where I cut my teeth working in their tape mastering and lacquer cutting rooms. After working with many great artists and on many Juno nominated, platinum, multi-platinum projects and taking care of all Sony Music’s production mastering needs over the years, I’ve now struck out on my own with wreckhouse mastering.
My aim at Wreckhouse is to produce high quality mastering to all artists but primarily to independent artists who can’t afford the high rates of the established mastering studios in New York and L.A.
I'm hitting the road in a couple of weeks to raise money for War Child, Coast-to-coast – 50 cities – ALL PROCEEDS TO WARCHILD. Why? 66% of all war victims are CHILDREN. Shocked like me? War Child helps these children that have been affected by war. Check out the new blog – the whole story is up there. Love to have you be a part of it.
You’ll find a Blog, Tour page and a Bio page. I’ll be blogging daily from the road.

Hey there! Yes, we're certainly hoping for the same...actually, if we've got anything to do with it, Canada won't be the only place waking up to the brilliance of Tenth Planet! Glad the boys have you in their corner too!
Oh yeah, I remember the car brake drum... very industrial, dontcha know... I think I played it on a song called "See The World". It was never recorded, only played live. Good memory - that's going back at least 23 years!
