You Should Be a Science Fiction Writer
Your ideas are very strange, and people often wonder what planet you're from.
And while you may have some problems being "normal," you'll have no problems writing sci-fi.
Whether it's epic films, important novels, or vivid comics...
Your own little universe could leave an important mark on the world!

PLEASE NOTE: I don't add everyone who requests me. I look at your page and if we have nothing in common, I probably won't add you. I'm not here to "collect" friends, nor am I interested in being part of a "harem." Please look at my entire profile before requesting me as a friend. Thanks!
I'm an author, with one book out so far, and I'm working on two more, and I've written a few poems. I also love to write to my penpals that I've had since high school, read, see movies with hubby, walk, and listen to music.
I wish I could write something profound here, but I'm just a simple person. I like many things. I love to hear children laugh, I love the beauty that can be found in the desert (I found some interesting plants on our trip to Carlsbad Caverns this winter). I love the colors of sunrise and sunset. I can be very girly when I watch movies with a good-looking actor in it, but that's not why I watch the movie. My desk is a mess, but if no one disturbs it, I can find what I need there. When I read, I absolutely devour the book. I've read the Harry Potter series at least twice, some of the books more than that! The same with Sandra Brown books. Many everyday things inspire me, and could end up in my stories, as I try to observe people to make my writing as realistic as possible. Going to concerts has helped me with Dark Harmony, as I observe how people react to rock stars (it can get very funny, and very scary!), and watching them onstage, how they move and react with the audience and each other, is fascinating.

Derrick Anderson is young, intelligent, and talented, and dreams of becoming a major league ballplayer. Drafted into professional baseball right out of high school, he has the opportunity to live his dreams. But he also has a fondness for alcohol and women. Advancing through the farm leagues of the Denver Eagles, Derrick also progresses in his addictions. While in the major leagues, his addictions put his talent, family, and life on the line. Even the love of a beautiful woman can’t make him stop. Not until he hits rock bottom and fears for his daughter’s well-being does he try to again make a change in his life. But, will it stick this time, when the other times have failed?

You scored as English. You should be an English major! Your passion lies in writing and expressing yourself creatively, and you hate it when you are inhibited from doing so. Pursue that interest of yours!
Good to bump into you here, PW, and I hope those notes are proving useful!
BTW, have you seen my discussion board? It's a fun forum with people from all over the world talking about the Rain Fall movie (starring Gary Oldman and opening in Japan on April 25); the next book, called Fault Line, out in the US on March 10; and writing, politics, single malt whisky, and anything else that strikes people's fancy, with a monthly chat on writing, too. So if you have a chance, stop by and say hello -- it would be good to see you there...
Yes, a year without drama would be cool...I'm getting to be so good at acting/performing sanely around insane people though, apparently! LOL Maybe I shoulda taken up acting instead of working in Corporate America.
Thanks Auntie Margena! LOL Haven't said that in a while huh? I'm doing much better. I was afraid I was gonna live for a couple days but all is well now. I'm off to get ready for my morning ritual Starbuck's/Beach run for a nice writing session listening to the waves. Hope you guys have a fantastic day!!!!
