About me: I am a writer for kids and teens.
One YA novel out: I HEART YOU, YOU HAUNT ME, Simon Pulse, January, 2008. Another one coming out January, 2009, called FAR FROM YOU, also by Simon Pulse.
Here is a little summary of what I HEART YOU, YOU HAUNT ME is about:
Fifteen-year-old Ava is heartbroken over the death of her boyfriend, Jackson. But Jackson's spirit is unwilling to let go just yet, and has rooted himself to Ava's home. At first Ava is thrilled, and she does whatever she can to stay home everyday just to be with him. But she soon realizes that having a ghost for a boyfriend is neither easy nor fulfilling. How will Jackson react when he learns that his girlfriend has moved on when he clearly hasn't?
And here is the book trailer:
I also have one picture book out: BABY CAN'T SLEEP.
I am a wife, mom, full-time worker-bee, cook, maid, and the official dog walker of the family.
If you don't know me and I've requested your friendship, it's probably because we have a favorite author in common!
Who I'd like to meet: I'd love to meet any cool person who wants nothing more than to just be my friend. But I'd love to meet other writers, librarians, teachers, editors, and especially teens who HEART books!
Hey Lisa, NP! Hope life is great on your end. Mine is busy and noisy, with a remodel/addition to our home. "Eyes on the ultimate goal..." my new mantra.
Half a box of tissues, one soaked pillow, and a nose that might just jump off of my face from being blown so much later I just finished "I Heart You, You Haunt Me."
Excellent book, I pretty much sobbed like a baby from page 2 until the end. It takes quite a bit to make me cry, so I commend you on your emotional book.
I cannot wait to read more of your stuff. I must say, you have me hooked!
thanks for the add! its always good to know i've made someone smile :) annnd, i am going to the library tomorrow and i am DEFINITELY going to look for your book and read it, it looks soo good! :)
Heyy. Guess what? I went to my library the other day and they told me they had new teen books so I went in the back to look and I Heart You, You Haunt Me was there!!! I was so excited because they hardly EVER get new books and when they do, they're Meg Cabot or something but EEK! I mean, I've read it and all but this means others will be able to too!
Your book was amazing! Thanks for sending the friend request! I remember the day we got your book in at work. I ended up selling out in 2 days. I was bummed I had to wait to read it for a week once I was ready to buy it.
hey! thanks for the friend request! we have a lot in common (chips & salsa, project runway, and of course Twilight) i will have to read some of your books!
Hey, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your interview with Cynthia Leititch Smith. It's nice to know that hard work pays off in the writing world.
