The Art of Cover Models: Where would romance novels be without them? Personally, I always enjoy seeing CJ, John, and Rob on the covers of any romance novel. And hands down, I think CJ is one of the hottest--and nicest--cover models in the industry. Rob will forever fit into that category as well. ..

I've not had the opportunity to meet John, but he does a great cover! Back in 2002/3, I had the good fortune to converse with Rob Ashton on the phone about a possible cover shoot. We talked and laughed about a number of subjects, and we exchanged messenger id's as well. He was a really nice guy; down to earth and easy to talk to. My one regret is that I did not get the chance to meet him in person.

    The Stranger In My Dreams

I dreamed a thousand dreams last night--I kissed an angel, seduced a devil and fell in love with a stranger under the moonlight.

I cried a thousand tears last night---for the innocence I lost, the happiness I found; the stranger kissed each fallen tear and filled me with delight.

I danced a thousand dances last night--to the beat of my heart, the rhythm of joy; embraced by the tune of the stranger as he held me tight.

I made love a thousand times last night--with a sense of passion, a burning desire; I soared with the stranger from dawn to midnight.

A thousand times I've awakened lonely, though not alone. I'm in his bed…in his arms…and in his home.

I wished a thousand wishes about two strangers last night; the one in my dreams and the one in my life. Both have the face of my husband, but only to one’s touch do I respond as a wife.

    My Mom & Dad

My mother is one of the strongest and smartest women I know. As one of few minority women in the area to finish high school, she has always been a voracious reader. Thankfully, she passed that gift onto me.

    .. ..

I'm definitely a daddy's girl. So my father is my greatest hero. Before retirement, he was a successful international construction worker. Like many minority men in the South, he had a hard childhood, having to drop out of school in the sixth grade. Later, however, he did finish trade school. Despite many obstacles, he traveled the world and met leaders of countries—including President Ronald Reagan, as well as numerous business tycoons, and other extraordinary people.

    .. ..

My parents are my biggest fans and greatest inspiration. They taught me three very valuable lessons about life, success, and people. One -- a person is never too old or too young to learn. Two -- success is one part aspiration, one part determination, and a whole lot of hard work. And three, while you can turn your enemies into friends, never turn your friends into enemies--they know all your secrets.

A FEW OF OUR FAVORITE COVER MODELS:

The above pictures represent some of the cover models that have worked for Omega Publishing, Inc.

ABOUT ME:

As a writer, I love a good story—especially every genre of romance fiction. As such, my interests also revolve around every facet of the publishing process (i.e., agents, contracts, queries & synopsis, proofing, and cover art).

In addition to the above, I believe the PEN is mightier than the sword! This is my philosophy about most matters in general.

.. ..

My life's ambition is writing and publishing. However, much of my professional career has been spent as a consultant. For the last several years I have taken time away from my career to pursue a PhD in business—two more quarters to go, Yea!! I also have a MBA in HR Management, and an Honorary Doctor of Law's degree in International Human Rights. Out of six siblings, I am the first member in my family to attain a college degree.

.. ..

One of my biggest passions is community activism—helping families in need find resources such as legal help, filing petitions and disability claims, career counseling, contracts, and fundraising.

.. ..

My biggest pet-peeve? Stupidity. In my opinion, illiteracy doesn’t make a person stupid. Stupidity comes from racist ideologies & behaviors such as prejudice, bigotry, snobbery, and Anti-Semitic beliefs.....

.. ..

Here's a little of my history -- OK. Close your eyes and imagine the smallest populated place you can think of. There are no fast-food joints, no grocery store chains, not even a traffic light. Twilight zone? No, it's my home town. I grew up on a 40-acre farm in one of the most RURAL towns in northeast Alabama. Church, choir, school, band, and reading were my life.

Chapter 1 of THE NAISA MAFIA - read and enjoy on my blog...  http://www.myspace.com/naisamafia .

CHAU VAN TRUONG wants to lose everything and be rejected by everyone.  However in the endgame, I wish to rise from the ashes and reclaim my glory.  But my mother, MUONG THI VAN, believed in me and supported me through my struggles.  She will be rewarded by the first half million dollars to built her dream home in Vietnam from SECRETS KEPT movie.  THIS IS NOT ENOUGH but the pieces of fiscal pie from an impossible dream turned reality will grow exponentially as the hype and word of mouth spreads for SECRETS KEPT movie then I will gift her the world on a plate.  This woman who give me birth forbid me to work because she wanted me to focus on creating.  Her unconditional love is as palpable as my beating heart.  HOW COULD I SAY THANK YOU?  This is the reason I write this declaration.  I want the public to hold me accountable for what I vowed to do.  It is also a reminder to myself that I am a man of my word.  My lawyer has drawn up the contract stating that my mother gets the half million dollars before any money touches my hand.  If this promise is empty, SECRETS KEPT movie or my writing career did not come to fruition.  NOT MY FAULT!!!!

Thanks for being a new MySpace friend. It's been a juggernaut, but "IF THE RAINS DON'T CLEANSE" (my novel about my parents' experiences as schoolteachers in 1950s Africa) is finally available on Amazon.com. In fact, it's selling so well it's been marked "out of stock" for several days -- thank God they're still shipping it. It's getting strong reviews and a grown-up readership -- I'm thrilled. I invite you to visit my MySpace blog to read an excerpt.

Greetings from Sussex, and I thank you for adding my name to your list of "friends." Perhaps you will be interested to hear that my literary agent, Ms King, has cajoled me into participating in a program she is calling "Fifteen Weeks of Bees," which will tie together the fifteenth anniversary of our first collaboration, The Beekeeper's Apprentice, and the publication of our newest venture in May, The Language of Bees. Appropriately, "Fifteen Weeks" will join my efforts on MySpace with hers on her web site and blog. Please join us starting on February 1.
