Written in Red was formed in 2003 after God started working in several young men’s lives. When guitarist Brandon Henderson received Christ at Winter Extreme in Gatlinburg he quit the death metal band he was in. Deciding to follow God’s will, he created a band by the name of ‘Five Fold.’ It started out as Brandon on guitar, Jamie on vocals and Jonathan on drums. After Jonathan became enrolled in Georgia Tech he was not able to continue with the band. Brandon and Jamie began looking for another drummer; amongst the search, they found Eric (the second guitarist) and also found the drummer, Chad. Practicing a few times a week led to the band developing several originals. A few months further, the band received its first gig; it was a town festival with several other local bands. After God blessed them with money, they decided to lay out a three track EP at Outback Studio in Powder Springs, Georgia. As of this time, the band still had no bassist. Five Fold experimented with a few different people, but it never worked out. Chris began attending Covenant Life Church of God in Bremen when Jamie discovered his bass playing talent. The band auditioned him and it worked out perfectly. He completes the band’s stage presence and sound with his wild exuberance. Now seeking new heights, the band has changed its name to ‘Written in Red’ to signify their faith in Christ. With the newly developed blend of hardcore, metalcore, and rock the band has been booked at The Masquerade in Atlanta, The Warehouse in Marietta, and many churches in the Southeast. With new management, we are trying to book many shows including those of Rocketown in Nashville, Hardrock Café in Atlanta, Atlanta Fest, Cornerstone, and Warped Tour 2006.
