WRONG EM BOYO is a musical band from Bruges/Ghent/Antwerp Belgium. They play an uplifting mix of funk, reggae, dub, ska ... They formed in Bruges in 2001 as a marching band playing regulary at manifestations, fighting for nature rights. In the beginning their music was an instrumental ride at full speed, but as years came by more 'raggamuffin' lyric involved and they gained reputation as an on-stage PARTY BAND. The musicans are/were also involed in Belgian band like Najanonki, Roots train rockers, Pura vida, wost, United Mutations, Forret de moustique, ... In 2004 they recorded a promotional demo, and right now they're preparing a full-cd!!! In 2005 BoBo joined forces on the basss, providing nuff power!
In 2009 they featured the tune "AROUNDTHEWORLDSTYLEE" on the "BELGIAN WORLDMUSIC COMPILATION" CD released by I&I Relations.( I&I Relations 002). But you should CATCH Wrong 'em boyo LIVE to have the fullest effect!!!Nowadays they've palyed venues like Vooruit, Cactus Club (@MaZ), CactusFestival, Klinkende Kroegen, Hove Live, Leffingeleuren, Paulusfeesten, Duimen voor Doel, VK, 4AD, N9, De Centrale, St-Jacobs Gensche fieste, Kinky Star, FiestaJet, Kutunka, Frontline, JH Krak, !FEST,... in belgium and did a little tour in Germany/Czech rep. Het is (toch!) weer zover. We kunnen het niet laten en breien dus een vervolg aan de Koedanvibe!
Op zaterdag 11 april geven we er weer een lap op!!!
Het concept is in dat opzicht gewijzigd dat we jammer genoeg geen concerten zullen organiseren, maar volledig gaan voor de DJ's in alle maten en vormen en kleuren. En welke! Deze mensen zullen samen met jullie de koedansfeer weer helemaal bovenhalen en weer helemaal onze lichaamscellekes laten doordringen!
De Gentse Bolwerkfanfare is reeds verdwenen sinds 10 januari 2009. Doorgedreven speurwerk heeft niks opgeleverd De onzekerheid van haar lotsbestemming maakt het nog zwaarder om dragen,maar we moeten sterk zijn en aanvaarden:

Wij willen op 17 april samen met u een laatste eerbetoon brengen aan de Bolwerkfanfare. Blijf niet met je verdriet zitten, gedeelde smart is halve smart!
De dienst wordt ingekleed door de dames van RouwendeVrouwen.com en om 20h30 opgeluisterd door Rat Ka Bay Bal, een gezelschap dat ons eigenlijk volslagen vreemd is, maar dat beweert de Bolwerkfanfare zeer goed gekend te hebben.
