Bobby Brace (Negative Zero Productions) ran a ton of metal shows through Popeye's from late 2006 through 2008. He, graciously, loaned his PA system to the House for just about any show and rehearsal that came along. Between shows, the equipment sat in what, is now, our riser-lounge area with the nice chairs, to the left of the old Megatouch machine, in full view of the bartenders. It sat there, unmolested, for months. This equipment consisted of a Stageworks P.A. head; 8 channels, visual sliders in the upper right corner, return loops, and speaker inputs on the back. In addition, in the old, back beer-room, he had a full set of custom ZXT Zildjian cymbals in a cymbal bag. There may be more. I will contact him for details. Back in early last November, the old jukebox and Megatouch were moved to their present location, and Bobby's equipment was moved into the beer-room to make way for the new lounge. Sometime over the next 10 days, 3 shows and 2 rehearsals later, somebody 'borrowed' the key to the beer-room to get something. Rather than lock the door, they turned the lock-latch and made the door LOOK locked over the course of that period. This, I discovered while cleaning, and I locked it back-up. Shortly after, it was discovered that all his stuff had gone missing! An investigation started and stalled. There was a subsequent incident involving other people's equipment that was nicely resolved through the clever use of fear, but, Bobby's stuff never resurfaced. Bobby was my right-hand here over the last couple years, and he helped immensely with the development of this place for you guys. I don't have the money to compensate him, and nobody else is offering. I suggest a benefit show or series of these to benefit a replacement fund, and I'm asking...everybody...if they would be willing to perform here at some point during those efforts. We have open dates next month on Friday 5/1, Friday 5/15, Friday 5/29 and Saturday 5/30. Silent Fury www.silentfury.net wants to play
We're gonna be hitting most of the states in the U.S East Coast, below are all the dates and the places we'll playing at. We're hoping all our fans and friends come out and support!
