Born again in 2004 with Eric joining on vocals and Julien on bass, Whispering Tears have definitely found their own style. It is rooted into Death metal, indeed, but the atmospheres created by the band largely exceed this restrictive labelling, with a powerful sound , technically mature, integrating some vocal Black metal influences, or even acoustic and melodic patterns.
It is that musical wealth which ensures an excellent welcome of the EP Esprit Souillé in 2007, from both the press and the public, who dare comparing them to Opeth or Gojira and underline the originality of their music , “ which stands out of the crowd”.
This initial EP is already being distributed by Great Dane Records and Season Of Mist, and the band’s concerts in Paris and across the country, the interviews and articles in numerous fanzines, webzines and French and foreign magazines, reinforce the EP’s distribution.
Reinforced by these positive and promising comebacks, and with more motivation than ever, Whispering Tears persevere and record their first album in June 2008, signing ten new titles with more diversified and contrasted atmospheres,, where power and melancholy come together to deliver the outcome and the succession to Esprit Souillé. They now look for actors who will participate in the promotion and distribution of this album, which promises, like Esprit Souillé, to be a milestone in the French releases of fall 2008.

"Whispering Tears, death Metal original : Mobilisateurs de la scène metal depuis déjà plus de huit belles années, W.T a pris le temps pour nous amener cet Esprit souillé, véritable nouvelle sensation Death Metal. Le terme Death Metal serait tout de même réducteur car les français ont de multiples cordes à leur arc. En effet, on trouve là des ambiances aux arpèges inquiétants sur des rythmiques puissantes, variées et emballées par une certaine technique qui sert l'imagination et la créativité avec ferveur. Le chant en français est agréable et pourrais parfois se rapprocher de l'esprit black, même s'il reste principalement axé sur des voix gutturales. ce 4 titres s'avère agréable et ne demande qu'une suite pour confirmer cette fougue musicale. En tout cas, les fans de Gojira et Opeth devraient s'y retrouver..."
