Born again in 2004 with Eric joining on vocals and Julien on bass, Whispering Tears have definitely found their own style. It is rooted into Death metal, indeed, but the atmospheres created by the band largely exceed this restrictive labelling, with a powerful sound , technically mature, integrating some vocal Black metal influences, or even acoustic and melodic patterns.
It is that musical wealth which ensures an excellent welcome of the EP Esprit Souillé in 2007, from both the press and the public, who underline the originality of their music , “ which stands out of the crowd”.
This initial EP is already being distributed by Great Dane Records and Season Of Mist, and the band’s concerts in Paris and across the country, the interviews and articles in numerous fanzines, webzines and French and foreign magazines, reinforce the EP’s distribution.
Reinforced by these positive and promising comebacks, and with more motivation than ever, Whispering Tears persevere and record their first album fall 2008, signing nine new titles with more diversified and contrasted atmospheres, where power and melancholy come together to deliver the outcome and the succession to Esprit Souillé.
Following the collaboration between Whispering Tears and Great Dane Records, the album Sous La Poussière (Under The Dust) is available since october 2009 and promises, like Esprit Souillé, to be a milestone in the autumnal French releases.
Thereof, the band is actually working on the organisation of a French tour in 2010 in order to present the new release on stage and reveal what is hidden under the dust…
