About me:SIGHT & SOUND returns Saturday May 21, 2011 to Queen Bee's in North Park, celebrating the very best in San Diego performing & visual talent in unpredictable & all-embracing ways. Now held every three months, this multi-stage, multi-sensory event was founded in March 2008 at Bamboo Lounge by Adam Rosen and Jon Block, graduating to larger non-traditional spaces such as Planet Rooth/4 Walls Galleries on Ray Street and Architecture on 30th Street, before arriving at Queen Bee's in February 2010. During its monthly run, SIGHT & SOUND featured live performances from (among many others) The Silent Comedy, MC Flow, The Burning of Rome, Rob Crow of Pinback, The Nervous Wreckords, comedy and burlesque performers, spoken word artists, deejays, and many more. Tickets to SIGHT & SOUND are only $10.00 in advance and $12.00 at the door, benefiting the "Motivate the Muse" artist workshop series, a program under the 501 (c) 3 non-profit Synergy Art Foundation. SIGHT & SOUND is for ages 21 & up with full-service bar.
Who I'd like to meet:Deep creative talents who bring a positive energy as much as possible. And while we're constructing a talent wish list: people who respond to phone calls, emails, texts, myspace messages, and occasional handwritten notes.
