I noticed no one has put anything up here lately so I thought I would. You folks are probably making your way to the great beery North by now, and that's an event that leaves me sadder than you know.
For me this has truly been a historic Summer of Hildegard. The tour and the subsequent recording sessions and all around camraderie have made an indelible impression on me that will last a long time. It was some of he best music I ever heard or played, and with some of the best people I have ever known. It was also one (hopefully not really) last collaboration with a fellow with whom I have spent the last decade in a fascinating, varied, and soul building musical relationship. I will be forever grateful for that, and to his better half for helping him to realize these projects and being a wonderful artist and person in her own right.
I know this post is ridiculously maudlin, but I'm feeling that way upon your exit and in general because of a recent terrifying, awful event (contact me about this, I am trying to leave it off myspace).
love
So I been putting your records on my pod, and Acte Gratuit labels in iTunes, but I think you knew that.
Tape for the Tuning of the Ear comes up as sermons by someone reading Ezekiel or something. creepy.
What recordings are on Death from Not Dying and Von Bingen (and is SeedBed a new label)?
Even though I'm in this band I can't keep up, it's like being in GBV or something.
Absolute genius. Family Hymnal is one of my favourite albums of recent years. Genuinely one of the most interesting bands currently doing the rounds. Nicely done.
I e-mailed you ingrates about getting these recordings, but heard nothing. But no matter, because I realized I already have them (unless the most recent one changed from its demo form). No real news here except that my Stang was murdered (for whole story see my page), and there are still molds and poisons in the air here. I see that you all are touring extensively. Wish I could be there. Be sure to video all the shows, but I don't need to tell you that... drop a line, sunshine.
