Wingin' It are a fresh and dynamic acoustic duo. Winners at the Celtic Connections '07 'Danny Kyle' Awards, and have since performed at festivals all over Scotland. They are currently in the process of recording an EP, tracks from which can be heard here on myspace.
"Two brilliant young guitarists. These guys really
impressed me with their musicianship and stage
presence. I think they're great."

Press Reviews
"These two young men do not just play the guitar (and mandolin) extremely well - they also entertain in a warm style which certainly endeared themselves to their audience in the Birnam House Hotel, where their wide range of styles included jazz, classics and pop, sometimes all rolled into one..........the end result is that of two musicians in tune with each other and at one with their guitars."
Alison Anderson - Perth Advertiser
'Mandolin/guitar duo 'Wingin' It!' delivered a fingerlicking blend of Americana and world music flavours'
Sue Wilson - Scotsman
'their confidence and synergy shines, with a fresh, lively style'
Vicky Davidson - Evening Times
"With a few more public performances and a coveted ‘Danny’ award from this year’s Celtic Connections to their name, they returned to the Fiddle Tree wearing a new mantle of confidence and an even broader repertoire than before, while retaining their joie de vivre for playing live.
These two young guys are true virtuoso performers; their guitarwork (and in Adam’s case, mandolin also) is breathtaking, and draws from numerous influences: jazz, classical, Americana, Pink Floyd.
Wingin’ It! are not afraid to push musical boundaries."
Alison Anderson - Perth Advertiser
'they drew tunes from across the spectrum of jazz, folk and Americana, inventively arranged and played with terrific brio and flair'
Sue Wilson - Scotsman
'Dazzling interplay between guitar and mandolin and mezmerizing jazzy riffs are the band's hallmark and they had the balls to knock out a fantastic acoustic version of Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" to a folkie crowd champing at the Fisher-bit - respect!'
Tom Harland - Garden Sessions review of Stonehaven Folk Festival
"Guitar and mandolin duo Wingin' It were next up. Adam Bulley and Chas Mackenzie instantly impress the widest-ranging of audiences with their spellbinding arrangements, demonstrating the full capabilities of a guitar, and a wee bit more than most knew was possible!
Since appearing on the 2007 Island Hop tour, the lads have returned to Orkney with an EP under their belt, boasting four of their own compositions, including one written after their trip to North Ronaldsay, as well as the brilliant Then and Now. This piece progresses through a number of movement-like passages, aiding the guys to effort-lessly capture the audience in a joint sense of wonder and puzzlement over how they, armed with just two guitars, can produce such a rich, layered and multi-textured sound.
Still a relatively new act on the scene, these guys possess a winning formula — fantastic musicianship and compositions, completed with brilliant audience rapport."
