Christina Watson - vocals
An American jazz singer who lives and works as a singer and voice teacher in Nashville, Tennessee, Christina was educated at Berklee College of Music in Boston. She works with her own quintet, the vocal jazz group Third Coast Vocals, and various freelance jobs. Christina’s first album All About Love was released in 2004 and received rave reviews in American newspapers and the Swedish jazz magazine Orkesterjournalen.
Oscar Utterström - trombone
A Swedish trombone player who grew up in Sweden and Belgium, Oscar received his bachelor’s degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He also has a Masters in Jazz Studies from Middle Tennessee State University. Oscar lives and works in Nashville, where he has his own group, The Oscar Utterstrom Quintet, which plays originals with electric trombone. Oscar also plays in other groups such as the Tower of Power tribute band Bump City, the big band Nashville Jazz Orchestra, and the New Orleans-brass band Halfbrass.
Arne Tengstrand - piano
Born and raised in Borlänge, Sweden, Arne has been working in the Stockholm area since the early 1980s when he also studied at The Royal Academy of Music. He has played with Mats Holmkvists Stora Stygga Big Band and has also accompanied many Swedish jazz singers. Arne plays with, among others, Nuthouse and The Dan Tillberg kvartett and works as the accompanist at The Stockholm College of Theater and as a teacher at The Royal Academy of Music.
Mikael Eriksson - bass
Born and raised in Katrineholm, Sweden, Mikael moved to Stockholm in 1990. He plays both electric and acoustic bass and gigs regularly with many big bands and small groups around Stockholm. Mikael has played with The Royal Big Band and The West Side Big Band, which has backed soloists such as Svante Thuresson. Mikael is an active member of Oden Big Band , The Tommy Larsson kvartett and The Hans Dietrichson trio.
Stefan Palmfjord - drums
Originally from Katrineholm, Sweden, Stefan has, over the last twenty years, worked as a freelance musician in jazz groups and big bands as well as in blues, rock and cover bands in the Stockholm area. Since 2005, he has lived in Enköping, Sweden, where he works as drum and percussion teacher at Musik & Dansskolan.
Stefan works with The Dan Tillberg Kvartett (jazz/fusion), BluesSelection and various freelance jobs. He has recorded with The Dan Tillberg Kvartett, BluesSelection, the jazz group Beat the beet and the funk band Chickentown.
