About me: WU Online (AKA Wrestling Update Online) was originally created in October 1988 when Michael Weaver, Jr. created a wrestling newsletter for his grandfather on his birthday. Weaver hand wrote the entire newsletter. The newsletter would lay domant until 1993 when it would return and be distributed among family and friends. Each month from 1993 till 1996, a new issue of Wrestling Update would be created and distributed for free. It was in 1996 that Weaver discovered the Internet. He quickly placed Wrestling Update on the Internet and created an online newsletter along with a website that was originally hosted with Geocities. In 2001, Wrestling Update changed its name to WU Online and Weaver purchased the domain www.wrestlingupdate.net but in 2002, Weaver decided to change the URL to the current URL, www.wrestlingupdateonline.com, where it has been ever since.
Weaver has interviewed some of the most well-known individuals in sports-entertainment history. Missy Hyatt, Sonny Onno, Joanie Laurer, John Rambo, Justin Roberts, The Road Warriors, Mike Tenay, and more!
WU Online has one goal and that's to bring the most information to its readers. WU Online: All News - No Rumors!
