WUPA

Bio:

WUPA hails from Middlesex County, and started as an opportunity for fun open mic jam sessions involving Will, Uton, Pat, and Archie, and now has evolved into a multi-faceted, versatile music-outfit that can take songs you have heard your whole life and put twists and turns in them that you'd never imagine. Or, they can take you to another place with their original songs. Or, their jam sessions (either intrumental or vocal) can make you get up and dance or listen with wonder at its sonic powers. With various genres represented in their music from folk to rock, from r&b to funk, from disco to country, WUPA is known everywhere it plays for getting people up to dance and enjoy themselves, which is the main thing that these artists want to do.

WUPA consists of three vocalists who take turns singing lead (Will, Uton, and Pat), with each one capable of delivering a performance that brings the house down while the other two deliver lush harmonies that are sometimes predetermined and sometimes created on the spot to create vocal jams that rival the jams of any band instrumentally.

WUPA's intrumental session, not to be outdone, consists of four versatile musicians capable of switching up instruments during the course of a show (Archie, Mikey G, Jeff, and Travis), with Archie and Mikey trading guitar solos and rhythmic stylings, Travis keeping a steady groove on bass, and Jeff delivering towering drum solos while keeping the outfit together.

WUPA also takes pride in its friends and fans and the fact that they are a part of a collection of artists in Middlesex County. Thus, at any given show, at least two or three people will join WUPA on stage to play the instrument or sing the song of their choice. In this, WUPA keeps a connection with its fans that is unlike any other band's.
