Sounds Like
4 drummers starting a band, 2 of whom attempting to sing, playing songs written in toilets of rubbish pubs. It really shouldn't work. But it bloody does.
The Wutars are a band that effortlessly stand out from their peers. In a time when indie seems to revolve around the image rather than the music, here are four young lads who add a bit of substance in a bleak landscape. The Wutars themselves prefer not to be thrown into the same category as the recent swash of British bands, because as any fan will tell you, this band transcends the whole scene. here is a band who aspire to stand with the big names such as The Beatles, The Who, and The Jam, because after all, what would be the point of aiming for anything less?!
With a string of packed out nights at Islington Bar Academy, Camden Underworld, Kilburn Luminaire, The 100Club, Metro club & Buffalo bar, The Wutars are flying! Not to mention slots alongside former Sex Pistol Glen Matlock, Towers Of London, Brakes, Simple Kid, and a monthly residency at Filthy (home of The Libertines) MacNastys.
Their songs tell stories of life, love, loss, alcohol abuse, and the same disenchantment which many young people feel toward the routines of 21st century living. The Wutars are not an arrogant bunch, but they are instilled with a strong self belief and not yet tainted by the cynicisms of life, boasting a songwriting partnership which threatens to rival the true greats, and a rhythm section that will tear the roof off!!!
The Wutars are a reality, they are timeless, and they are here right now. They love it. And after one listen so will you...
