The 30 Hour Famine is an international youth movement to fight hunger. It allows students to experience hunger firsthand, while doing something to save some of the 29,000 children who die every day from hunger and preventable causes.

i absolutely LOVE 30 hour famine. It is the best thing my youth group ever did. It completely changed the way I look at the world- thanks for such an awesome and amazing program!

God's promise to Isaiah & Jeremiah carries over to us today. When you dedicate your heart to serve God in whatever way you are capable of and in turn strive for the heart of a servant that Jesus Christ had toward us, then you will see in your life evidence of the heritage of a servant of the LORD. You will see God's deliverance & protection, and His providence to you is your witness to the world that our God has made you in all things more than a conqueror because you serve Him. I was expecpecting for my group to raise about $1000 cuz iam only 15 and i lead my group but we endend up raising over $6500!!!!!!!!! and i raised $2000 It was a maricle God sure is amazing!!
it was so awesome! this past week i was headed to youth group at my church and one of my friends from the famine just happened to show-up....i don't know i thought it was cool seeing other kids being touched by God..

In past years, I have done the Famine as a youth, this year, I participated as a youth leader and I enjoyed it so much. It was my prayer throughout the weekend for the youth to have less of a focus on a hunger for food and more focused on a hunger for God. Everyone had an awesome weekend and we had an AWESOME church service on Sunday. The youth are already excited about next year!!!

I just wanted to say that our youth group will be doing the famine this weekend together at a lock in. We are very excited and motivated about helping others. The group is in the process of planning a mission trip. We are praying as to the location God wants us to go and work. Please keep us in your prayers.

Job had come to understand that God is all, and that He rewards them who belong to Him in spite of the pressure and pain the Devil causes them. We do not suffer because we are bad, we endure attack because we are God's best. And, overcoming adversity through faith glorifies God.
