The BK Connection is composed of two Internet radio shows and what is now two independently owned and operated Internet radio servers and stations, started by (at the time) 3 teens in New York City with it's title inspired by the movie "The Brooklyn Connection". You may hear us from time to time refer to the show as the Brooklyn Connection.
Changes have came and gone with programming as well. Our old station, WWBK 128 on SHOUTCast has been shut down and broken into two independent Windows Media stations - namely WWBK 1280 for our broadband listeners and WBCR 93.1 for our dial up listeners.
Recently, the staff has boiled down to basically 3, Josh (Rubi Rubisimo) Omar ( DJ Illeos) and Danny, starting late September shows have cut off so we can revamp everything, the website, forum and the new blog, the relaunch is for January 2nd, we plan to open up with fresh new music, new equiptment and the idea of having local artists on the show live.
