WWO

Jedker, Sokol and DJ Deszczu Strugi are the members of WWO, the name standing for “W Witrynach Odbicia” and “W Wyjatkowych Okolicznosciach”. The artists are rooted in the hip hop crew ZIP Sklad, composed of three groups: WWO, Zipera and Fundacja. Between 1996-1999 ZIP Sklad and its projects, namely WWO, recorded a number of tracks, part of which hadn’t been released, the other part being released on different compilations. They also recorded part of the lyrics for the albums of Molesta, Wzgorze Ya-Pa 3 and DJ 600 Volt. In 1997 Sokol and Pono made their first public appearance onstage, giving a performance for a total amount of 3500 people, as a support before RUN DMC. In September of 1999 ZIP Sklad released its first album “Chleb powszedni”. In 2000 WWO recorded its first album “Masz i pomysl”. The album was a huge success. With its big sales it becomes a classic of the genre. The single “Jeszcze bedzie czas” stayed on top of the music charts for a long time, satisfying the viewers of MTV and Viva Polska. This was the beginning of the numerous offers of collaboration Jedker and Sokol started receiving. In December of 2001 due to a conflict with the former label, the group “W Witrynach Odbicia” became “W Wyjatkowych Okolicznosciach”, because of the termination of contract and judicial reasons. The new member of the group was DJ Deszczu Strugi, one of the best DJs in Poland. The group being strengthened by such a talented artist released its second album, entitled “We wlasnej osobie” in 2002, produced by the best Polish producers: Waco, White House and Noon, as well as the French producer duo, Reego and Doltz. The album featured many important guests, such as ZIP Sklad, Hemp Gru, Mor W.A, Peja and the French group Soundkail. After an enormous success of its second album, WWO cemented its position on the Polish hip hop market and proved that it belongs on the top. The album’s material was presented during 150 concerts the group gave, whereas several of the tracks became undisputable hits. Between 2002-2004 such WWO tracks as: “Damy rade”, “Nie boj sie zmiany na lepsze”, “W Wyjatkowych Okolicznosciach”, “Sen”, “Kazdy ponad kazdym” (from the White House’s album, Kodex 2) and “U Ciebie w miescie” (WWO and Vienio & Pele’s joint EP) stayed on top of the music charts for months and had the best rotation on TV. Additionally, their video clips won numerous prizes. In 2005 WWO recorded a song together with the legendary Michal Urbaniak for his project “Urbanator 3”. Sokol, Jedker and Deszczu all have impressive lists of people they’ve collaborated with, including the biggest artists from Poland as well as other countries. At the end of 2005 WWO made its next appearance. It went as far as to release two albums the same day. Prosto, after some time, regained the right to use the name “W Witrynach Odbicia” and promoted one of the albums with this name, and the second record with the name “W Wyjatkowych Okolicznosciach”. Therefore, in December of 2005 two album appeared: WWO “Zycie na kredycie” (Jedker’s concept) and WWO “Witam was w rzeczywistosci” (Sokol’s concept). The uniqueness of the CDs was assured by the producers, who provided the group with beats. The producers include The Horsemen from the USA, Beathoavenz and Shuko from Germany, DJ Wich from the Czech Republic, Zoober Slimm from Switzerland and a number of Polish producers: White House, Emade, Kuba O., Korzen, L.A.B.Z., Zusto, Uraz and others. Other MCs on the album apart from Sokol and Jedker include Intouchable, Toma and Soundkail from France, Kontrafakt from Slovakia, Orion from the Czech Republic, Black E-Starr from the USA, as well as the Polish ZIP Sklad, Firma, Hemp Gru, Proceder, Malolat, Juras, Mercedresu and others. The albums are separate, yet connected to one another mainly thanks to DJ Deszczu Strugi, but also the presence of Sokol on Jedker’s album and Jedker on Sokol’s project. The design of the album covers also contributed to the huge success. The album sales were excellent, the group gave concerts in Poland and abroad and the single “Moge wszystko”, “Minorum gentium” and “I tak to osiagne” stayed on top of the music charts and were played on TV for months to come. In June of 2006 the minialbum of Molesta, WWO and OSTR was released entitled “Rbk hip hop tour 2006”, promoting their joint tour.

So far, 6 WWO singles reached the number one spots on music charts and stayed there sometimes even up to 5 months.
WWO was one of the groups that during the years 2000-2004 gave the most concerts in Poland. Till now they did over 250 shows.
The group gave numerous concerts abroad- England, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Germany and the USA.
It received four Slizg Magazine “Slizger” prizes in 2002 for the album of the year, clip of the year, artist of the year and DJ of the year.
They also received Hip-hop.pl Magazine’s prize for the album of the year in 2002.
They received a nomination for the main polish music industry prize Fryderyk in 2002 in the category of best hip hop group.
The group won a prize for the clip “Sen” at the Yach Film Festival.
They were awarded the Bronze Off prize for the video “Sen” at the Offensive Festival.
WWO was also nominated for EMPIK’s “Ace” in 2005 for the best selling hip hop album of the year, “Witam was w rzeczywistosci”.
They became the Artists of the year in 2005 in WooDoo and Hip-hop.pl’s plebiscite.
They won the prize “Srebrna Iglica” at the Offensive Festival for the clip “Kazdy ponad kazdym”.

WWO to rapujacy Jedker i Sokól oraz DJ Deszczu Strugi. Trzy litery WWO to skrót od „W Witrynach Odbicia”, oraz „W Wyjatkowych Okolicznosciach”. Grupa wywodzi sie z najliczniejszej Warszawskiej ekipy hip hopowej - ZIP Sklad, skupiajacej trzy zespoly: WWO, Zipera i Fundacja. W latach 1996-99 ZIP Sklad i rózne jego projekty (jak WWO) nagral kilkanascie utworów, z których czesc byla nie publikowana, a czesc znalazla sie na róznych albumach kompilacyjnych, a takze goscinne zwrotki na plytach Molesty, Wzgórza Ya-Pa 3, DJ 600 Volt. W 1997 roku Sokól i Pono pierwszy raz wystepuja publicznie na scenie, od razu dla 3,5 tysiaca osób jako support przed grupa RUN DMC. We wrzesniu 1999 ZIP Sklad wydal swój pierwszy album "Chleb powszedni”. W 2000 roku WWO nagrywa pierwszy album "Masz i pomysl". Album odnosi sukces. Rozchodzi sie w duzym nakladzie i staje sie klasykiem gatunku. Utwór singlowy "Jeszcze bedzie czas" dlugo goscil na listach przebojów, oraz na ekranach MTV oraz Viva Polska, a Jedker i Sokól dostali jeszcze wiecej propozycji wspólpracy. W grudniu 2001 z powodu konfliktu z ówczesnym wydawca i zerwania kontraktu grupa „W Witrynach Odbicia” przestala istniec a zaczela dzialalnosc grupa „W Wyjatkowych Okolicznosciach”, co wynikalo z kwestii prawnych. W nowym skladzie WWO pojawil sie DJ Deszczu Strugi, jeden z najlepszych DJ w Polsce. WWO w nowym skladzie wydaje w 2002 drugi album "We wlasnej osobie", którego produkcja zajela sie czolówka polskich producentów - Waco, White House i Noon, oraz francuski duet producencki Reego i Doltz. Na tym albumie pojawilo sie wielu waznych gosci, miedzy innymi francuski Soundkail, ZIP Sklad, Hemp Gru, Mor W.A, oraz Peja. Po wielkim sukcesie drugiego krazka WWO ugruntowalo swoja pozycje na polskim rynku hip hopowym i potwierdzilo swoje miejsce w scislej czolówce. Z materialem z tego albumu grupa zagrala ponad 150 koncertów, a kilka utworów stalo sie niekwestionowanymi hitami. W 2005 roku WWO nagrywa wspólny utwór z legendarnym Michalem Urbaniakiem na jego projekt "Urbanator 3". Sokól, Jedker i Deszczu wspólnie badz osobno maja imponujaca liste osób z którymi nagrywali, sa to obok najlepszych wykonawców i producentów polskich, ludzie z wielu krajów swiata. Pod koniec 2005 WWO uderza ponownie z podwójna sila – jednego dnia wydaje dwa albumy na raz. Odzyskujac prawa do nazwy „W Witrynach Odbicia”, grupa firmuje jeden krazek wlasnie ta, stara nazwa, a drugi „W Wyjatkowych Okolicznosciach”. Tak wiec w grudniu 2005 roku ukazaly sie dwa albumy: WWO "Zycie na kredycie" (koncepcja Jedkera) oraz WWO "Witam was w rzeczywistosci" (koncepcja Sokola). Wyjatkowosc tych plyt zapewniaja producenci, którzy dostarczyli bitów - sa wsród nich The Horsemen z USA, Beathoavenz i Shuko z Niemiec, DJ Wich z Czech, Zoober Slimm ze Szwajcarii oraz plejada polskich producentów: White House, Emade, Kuba O., Korzen, L.A.B.Z., Zusto, Uraz i inni. Oprócz Sokola i Jedkera, rapuja na plytach znakomici goscie: Intouchable, Toma oraz Soundkail z Francji, Kontrafakt ze Slowacji, Orion z Czech, Black E-Starr z USA, a z Polski caly ZIP Sklad, Firma, Hemp Gru, Proceder, Malolat, Juras, Mercedresu i inni. Albumy sa osobne, a jednak polaczone ze soba - glównie za sprawa DJ-a Deszczu Strugi, ale tez dzieki obecnosci Sokola na plycie Jedkera i odwrotnie oraz przy pomocy projektu okladki, która spina dwie plyty w jedna calosc. Plyty sprzedaja sie bardzo dobrze, zas zespól koncertuje w kraju i zagranica, a single „Moge wszystko”, „Minorum gentium” i "I tak to osiagne" trafily znowu na czolówki list i kilkumiesieczne rotacje w TV. W czerwcu 2006 ukazal sie minialbum Molesty, WWO i OSTR'a "Rbk hip hop tour 2006", promujacy wspólna trase.

WWO

WWO - das ist der Rapper Jedker und Sokól, wie auch DJ Deszczu Strugi. WWO ist eine Abkürzung von „W Witrynach Odbicia“ (Spiegelungen in den Schaufenstern) und „W Wyjatkowych Okolicznosciach” (Unter Besonderen Umständen). Die Gruppe stammt aus dem zahlreichsten Warschauer Hip Hop Squad- dem ZIP Sklad (Squad), der aus drei Gruppen besteht: WWO, Zipera und Fundacja. ZIP Sklad und andere seine Projekte (wie WWO) haben in den Jahren 1996-1999 ein Dutzend Lieder aufgenommen, die zum Teil noch nie veröffentlicht aber auch zum Teil in einigen verschiedenen Kompilationen, wie auch als Gastauftritte auf den Platten von Molesta, Wzgórze Ya-Pa 3 und DJ 600 Volt erschien worden sind. Sokól und Pono treten zum ersten Mal im Jahr 1997 auf einer Bühne vor gleich 3,5 Tausend Menschen als Support vor RUN DMC auf. Im September 1999 hat der ZIP Sklad sein erstes Album „Chleb powszedni“ (Das tägliche Brot) veröffentlicht. Im Jahr 2000 nimmt WWO das erste Album „Masz i pomysl“ (Habe und denke nach) auf. Das Album war erfolgreich. Es verkaufte sich in großer Auflage und wurde zur Klassik dieser Musikrichtung in Polen. Der Single „Jeszcze bedzie czas“ (Es wird noch Zeit geben) war lange in den Hitlisten wie auch auf den Bildschirmen der Fernsehnkanäle MTV und VIVA Polska vertreten. Jedker und Sokól bekamen noch mehr Vorschläge einer Zusammenarbeit. Aufgrund eines Streits mit dem Verleger und aufgrund der Vertragsauflösung hörte die Gruppe „W Witrynach Odbicia“ im Dezember 2001 auf zu existieren und wurde die neue Gruppe „W Wyjatkowych Okolicznosciach“ gegründet, was auf die juristischen Fragen zurückzuführen war. Zu der neuen Gruppe WWO kam der DJ Deszczu Strugi, einer der besten DJ`s in Polen. WWO in der neuen Konstellation bringt 2002 ein zweites Album „We wlasnej osobie“ auf den Markt, dessen Produktion die besten polnischen Produzenten übernommen haben- Waco, White House und Noon, wie auch das französische Produzenten-Duo Reego und Doltz. Auf diesem Album sind viele wichtige Gäste unter anderem der französische Soundkail, Zip Sklad, Hemp Gru, Mor W. A und Peja vertreten. WWO nach dem das zweite Album auch sehr erfolgreich war, fundierte seine Position auf dem polnischen HipHop-Markt und bestätigte damit seinen Platz unter den Spitzen-Ersten. Die Gruppe gab mit dem Album mehr als 150 Konzerte und ein paar der Songs wurden unanfechtbar zur großen Hits. Die Songs der WWO Gruppe „Damy rade“, „Nie bój sie zmiany na lepsze“, „W Wyjatkowych Okolicznosciach”, „Sen”, oder „Kazdy ponad kazdym” aus dem Album White House Kodex 2 und „U ciebie w miescie” aus der Zusammenarbeit von EP-ki WWO und Vienio & Pele waren in den Jahren 2002-2004 monatelang auf den ersten Plätzen der Hitlisten, hatten die besten Rotationen im Fernsehen und die Videoclips räumten Preise auf. WWO nahm im Jahr 2005 einen gemeinsamen Song mit dem legendären Michal Urbaniak für sein Projekt „Urbanator 3“ auf. Die Liste der Personen mit denen Sokól, Jedker und Deszczu sowohl gemeinsam wie einzeln zusammen gearbeitet haben ist sehr imponierend. Neben der besten polnischen Musiker und Produzenten aus der Hiphop- Branche handelt es sich auch um viele Musiker und Produzenten aus der ganzen Welt. Ende des Jahres 2005 kommt WWO mit der doppelten Kraft wieder- am einen Tag wurden zum ersten Mal zwei Alben veröffentlicht. Nach dem die Rechte für den Namen „W Witrynach Odbicia“ zurückerlangt wurden, wird eine Platte mit dem alten Namen und eine zweite mit dem neuen Namen „W Wyjatkowych Okolicznosciach“ benannt. Im Dezember erschienen also zwei Alben: WWO „Zycie na kredycie“ (Idee von Jedker) und WWO „Witam was w rzeczywistosci“ (Idee von Sokól). Die Produzenten der Alben, die die Beats gemacht haben, sichern eine Art Besonderheit für die beiden Platten. Die Produzenten sind unter anderem The Horsemen aus den USA, Beathoavenz und Shuko aus Deutschland, DJ Wich aus der Tschechischen Republik, Zoober Slimm aus der Schweiz und die besten polnischen Produzenten White House, Emade, Kuba o., Korzen, L.A.B.Z., Zustro, Uraz und Andere. Neben Sokól und Jedker rappen auch ausgezeichnete Gäste wie Intouchable, Toma und Soundkail aus Frankreich, Kontrafakt aus der Slowakei, Orion aus der Tschechischen Republik, Black E-Starr aus den USA und aus Polen ZIP Sklad, Firma, Hemp Gru, Proceder, Malolat, Juras, Mercedesu und Andere. Es sind zwei verschiedene Alben aber es gibt einiges, was die beiden Alben verbindet- vor allem der DJ Deszczu Strugi aber auch die Anwesenheit des Sokól auf dem Album des Jedker und umgekehrt. Auch das Konzept der Covers der Platten verbindet sie in eine Einheit. Die Platten verkaufen sich sehr gut und die Gruppe gibt Konzerte sowohl in der Heimat Polen wie auch im Ausland. Die Singles „Moge wszystko“, „Minorium gentium“ und „I tak to osiagne“ stiegen wieder auf die Spitzenplatzierungen der Hitlisten auf und wurden ein paar Monate im Fernsehen ausgestrahlt. Im Juni 2006 erschien der Minialbum von Molesta, WWO und OSTR mit dem Titel „rbk hiphop tour 2006“, das für das neue gemeinsame Tour werben soll.

Fakten über WWO:

Bisher 6 Singles von WWO erreichten die ersten Plätze in den Hitlisten und blieben manchmal sogar für einige Monate auf der Spitze.
WWO ist eine der Gruppen in Polen, die in den Jahren 2000-2004 am häufigsten Konzerte gegeben hat.
Die Gruppe gab zahlreiche Konzerte im Ausland – in Groß Britannien, Irland, Tschechische Republik, Slowakei, Lettland, Deutschland und in den USA.
Im Jahr 2002 bekam WWO für das Album des Jahres, Videoclip des Jahres, für die beste Gruppe und den besten DJ des Jahres vier Preise des Magazins Slizg (Slizgery).
Für das Album des Jahres 2002 bekam WWO auch den Preis des
Magazins Hip-hop.pl.
WWO wurde auch für den Preis Fryderyk 2002 für die beste Hiphop
Gruppe des Jahres nominiert.
Sie bekamen den Preis des Yacht Film Festivals für den Videoclip „Sen“ und auch den bronzenen Off auf dem Offensiva Festival für denselben Clip.
Im Jahr 2005 wurden sie für den Preis Asse des Empik für
„Witam was w rzeczywistosci“ als das beste Hiphop - Album des Jahres nominiert.
Sie wurden auch zur Gruppe des Jahres im Wettbewerb der Sendung WooDoo und des Magazins Hip-hop.pl.
Auf dem Festival Offensiva bekam WWO den Preis Serbrna Iglica
für Videoclip „Kazdy ponad Kazdym“.
