Music For Children & Young Adults

Original Sheet Music : from small groups to large ensembles

Ideal for school groups, private groups, workshops and concerts

Specialises in composing pieces to meet the specific needs of any ensemble

Our Mission

Jatherinia composes music exclusively for young people of any ability (Grade 0 - 8+), to be workshopped and performed at any primary, secondary, music school, or music course concert / event.

Many school ensembles and other musical groups struggle to find suitable ensemble music, as they often have unusual groups of instruments to cater for. Jatherinia have an existing collection of original music for sale, which can be adapted on request to suit an ensembles needs, taking into account the instrumentation, and the standard of playing. They also accept commissions to write specific pieces, for any combination of instruments and voices.

Jatherinias style incorporates elements of popular and folk music, combined with a more traditionally classical approach, producing music that young people find easily accessible and enjoyable to play.

when describing one thing in terms of another
music is the best metaphor i have discovered
to accurately capture the melody im humming,
and show me exactly what strings I am strumming.
the music i write is the music i live
i hear what i see, and then mold it to give
it back to the inspiration from which it was derived
in hopes that it carries to where it arrives
i strive to be clear in the phrases i choose
and sometimes i stumble over syllables that loose
sense of the meaning i felt at the root
i throw up my arms in a twisted solute
to the words that are mounting my tongue with a plan
to gallop straight into the sunset of man
this journey im on is making its way
taking me through the mysteries relayed
as messages, simple to read IF i look
away from the mirror, outside of the hook

and DEAD INTO THE CENTER,

the eye of the storm
and watch clearly the image that comes into form
a symbol of life, an explanation of love
a lens to make sense of this world i dream of
i look through it and show myself the solution
to all of the problems ive set as conclusions
to the imbalanced maladies which best describe
the music washing over my mind, self-prescribed
if this is the key, tell me, Where's the lock?
its not where i thought it would be.... what a shock
not really, what's shocking is that which is hiding
and so i dance on the line that's dividing
the love, the sound, into two pieces of a whole
question marks interlocking at the center of the soul
and out into the void shines the light
painting whatever story i might
be singing... "the light and, or course, the darkness; her lover"
describing one thing in terms of another....
