Sounds Like
"The band's joy in playing together and their warm version of the high lonesome sound is reminiscent of Alison Krauss, or the more recent recordings of Dolly Parton. Wonderful stuff."-- The Nashville Scene Critics' Pick section
"They have an easy-going sound, plenty of strong material, and a bold vocal blend that sounds a lot like Emmylou Harris' early acoustic projects." -- Craig Havighurst, The Tennessean
Karen is an original founding member of the HeartStrings Band, which began in 2001 as a Nashville-based bluegrass group. Although the band was originally formed as all female, Karen continues to perform as lead vocalist/front person with a mix of quality male and female musicians from the Nashville area. The band has always been distinguished by it's tight vocal harmonies, energetic stage performances, and a crowd-pleasing mix of traditional and original acoustic music. HeartStrings Band has grown in popularity in the Nashville and regional surrounding area, as well as nationally on the bluegrass and acoustic festival circuit.
Karen is a veteran singer/fiddler in both the bluegrass and country music genres and tours professionally with many well known country acts in addition to the HeartStrings bluegrass band. Karen writes many of the original songs that the band performs and is currently recording a new bluegrass CD for release in 2007. Karen is looking forward to entertaining and making more great music for fans near and far, around the country and internationally.

Sure wish that you could figure how to "free-up" "I'll Be There", on your music box, so that I could add it to my page for awhile. Take care, and keep on "sawing"!! HUUUUUUGGGGS....JIM

It was great being with you at "John A's" Saturday night. I'm sorry that we had to leave early. I had to go and visit my old "Boss", Melvin Tillis. He and I had a good talk about the sessions and shows that we once did together. However, he isn't as pretty as YOU...HA!..HA! You are a GREAT fiddler, and a beautiful singer! But, you also have that beautiful heart. All this is what gives you such a wonderful presence on stage. You really "deliver" to your audience! Keep it up girl! Best wishes always! God Bless!....JIM
