"Susie's husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several months. Things looked grim, but she was by his bedside every single day. One day as he slipped back into consciousness, he motioned for her to come close to him. She pulled the chair close to the bed and leaned her ear close to be able to hear him.

"You know" he whispered, his eyes filling with tears, "you have been with me through ALL THE BAD TIMES. When I got FIRED, you stuck right beside me. When my BUSINESS WENT UNDER, there you were. A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS EVE MESSAGE ...

IN HONOR OF THE BIRTH OF JESUS ON CHRISTMAS, I GIVE YOU THE FOLLOWING ON THE LIFE OF JESUS ...

"Here is a man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He worked in a carpenter shop until he was 30, and then for 3 years He was an itinerant preacher.

He never wrote a BOOK. He never HELD AN OFFICE. He never OWNED A HOME. He never had a FAMILY. He never went to COLLEGE. He never put his foot inside a big city. He never traveled 200 miles from the place where he was born. He never did ONE OF THE THINGS that usually accompany greatness. He had no credentials but HIMSELF.
