ROMEO on the Radio

About me:

Romeo debuted on Z100 in February 2002 with his top rated nightly show "Romeo on the Radio." In addition to his on-air duties, he was the music director at the station since from 2006 to 2009 and was the assistant music director from 2003-2006. Romeo is also featured in an on-line video game based on his Z100 show. Before coming to New York, Romeo worked at stations throughout the U.S. including Erie, Pa.; Johnstown, Pa.; Nashville, Tenn.; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Detroit, Mich.; where he also served as Q95's assistant program director and interim program director. Romeo has hosted MSN's worldwide feed of the New Year's Eve Countdown live from Times Square in 2004 and 2005. Romeo was also named S.I.N. Magazine Top 40/Main Music Director of the Year in 2006 and 2008, received the FMQB Top 40/Main Music Director of the year in 2008, received the N.Y. Achievement in Radio Award for Best Evening Show 2002-2005, and recently named one of Edison's top 30 Radio Professionals Under 30 in the world. He has been featured in numerous print publications including Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly; Timeout New York, Crains, J-14, Billboard Magazine, The New York Times, and more. Romeo has made frequent television appearances on E!, MTV, FUSE, The Discovery Channel, A&E, MSG-TV and the local New York City newscasts. Romeo was also an Associate Producer at every Jingle Ball and Zootopia concert Z100 put on from 2002-2008. He was recently chosen as the Top 40 correspondent for the Live Earth concert at Giant Stadium where he broadcasted worldwide. Romeo was lured away from Z100 in Feb. '09 to launch Goom Radio and create remarkable radio experiences in The United States. He now serves as Vice President of Programming overseeing 15 formats and assists users who can create their own personalized radio stations. He is also hosting afternoon drive on Gooms "Just Hits" channel. The future is online and he looks forward to redefining radio for the digital generation. Romeo currently resides in Bayonne, N.J., with his pug Bubba.
