About me:

I was born in Jesup, Georgia, lived in Patterson to the age seven, and then moved to Blackshear. I graduated Blackshear High in 1970, went to Abraham Baldwin College, Tifton , for nine months, and then joined the US Army (I was about to get drafted; my number was 39). I took basic and Advanced training at Ft. Jackson, SC. I was stationed at Ft Leavenworth, KS, Ft Rucker, AL, Augsburg, Germany, Ft McClellan, AL, Schofield Barracks, HI, Ft Rucker, AL, Ft Stewart, GA. I held the ranks of Private-Staff Sergeant, Warrant Officer One to Chief Warrant Officer Three, First Lieutenant and Captain (Retired as a Captain). I worked in the military personnel field as a personnel officer. I received three Meritorious Service Medals, two Army Commendation Medals, one Army Achievement Medal, and a few others. I graduated from 26 military schools, including the Adjutant General Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the Warrant Officer Senior and Advanced Courses, two Noncommissioned Officer Advanced courses. I accumulated 150 semester hours of college, have two Associate and one Bachelor Degree. I am a member of the American Legion (I'm the Chaplain), the Disabled American Veterans, the Military Officer Association, the Farm Bureau, and haved served 20 years as a voluntary Chaplain for Waycross Rehab Nursing Home. I've preached at several churches, was an associate pastor at Martha Memorial Methodist Church for four years, had two radio programs, Alma and Waycross, for four years. I have three children, Joy, Joel, and Eva, and three grandsons, Dusty, Joshuhua, and Ely. I was a single parent for many years. I love all of my family and friends. I like to ride my tractors, I have four...a New Holland TT45, a Farmall Super A, a Husqy Garden tractor/mower, and a John Deere mower. I've written and had published a book, written several poems and articles that have been published on the internet (google or yahoo search my name). I've had my share of heartaches and troubles, saw many good times, and some bad times. I believe in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. I have experienced the power of prayer, and I know this world is not my home. My greatest desire is that all my family and friends would come to know Jesus as not only their savior, but also as their personal friend. Like most of us, I have unfinished business, obstacles to hurdle, and shortcomings to overcome.
