And it’s definitely a breeding ground for bitterness. Instead, open yourself to God’s grace, to the excitement of living today. Reach forward. Press on. Forget about the past. Look to you glorious future with Christ! Heavenly Father, thanks to You, my past is cleansed and taken care of. My present is where You are right now. And my future is with You, and I will see You as You are. This makes me want to get up and going. Thank You for past victories, but even more, thank You for the future victories You have in store for me. Keep my eyes on the prize of doing Your will each day. Even something positive can be life altering. When God spoke to Mary through the angel Gabriel and told her she had been chosen to be the mother of Jesus, Mary’s life changed completely (Luke 1:26-37). It meant being pregnant before marriage, anguish for her husband-to-be, and trouble in her hometown. But Mary accepted the news from God by saying, “Let it be done to me according to Your word” (Luke 1:38). Make that your prayer today. “Lord, I’ve experienced painful events that changed my life forever. Surely even those events were part of Your plan for me, but I want to see Your results from the heartache now, not tomorrow…and certainly not eight years from now. But You do all things in Your perfect timing. Today I declare my faith, “Let Your will be done.” Help me wait with patience and anticipation for Your plan to unfold. By faith, I’m saying, “Thank you Lord for all the good and bad that happens in my life and ultimately for the end result, which is a result of Your Love and Will in my life. ” In my Savior’s name, Amen ~ Hugs, Starla ~
