We are the radio station for Oakland University broadcasting in Southeastern Michigan at 88.3 FM Auburn Hills and webstreaming worldwide at wxou.org. WXOU has grown from humble carrier current beginnings in 1966 to todays FM and webstreaming capables of 2006.
We are the only music playing freeform college radio station in Southern Michigan. Mainly our audience is the Metro-Detroit listeners, but we have had listeners from out of state and other countries. We are a non-profit organization, and offer public services and underwriting opportunites.
Our shows vary every few hours and are different every day so there is bound to be something that you like at WXOU. We don't play the same old stuff you hear on commercial stations. We cater to independent lables, up and coming talent, local artists, and the new and different.
