Please spread the word and help to create more demand for the WYATT GAREY BAND. Wyatt has been performing since he was three years old and working professionally in contemporary and old time gospel since 10 and branched out into blues-rock at 12. Still not out of High School Wyatt is easily one of the best up and coming musicians you will ever hear.
Completely comfortable on stage and being fluent in just about every guitar style. He was already considered a virtuoso before graduating middle school. Also playing a 1/2 dozen other instruments. Every performance is a recreation mixing it all up and inventing new ways as he goes. All that along with the WYATT GAREY BAND which are all seasoned musicians mostly coming out of the AME gospel community.
Wyatt has and continues to pay his dues. Working and traveling with older musicians and doing whatever it has taken to make the WYATT GAREY BAND the best it can possibly be.

Wyatt Garey began performing simple folk and cowboy songs with his Dad, Ranny Garey, as early as 3 years of age. By 8 & 9 years old Wyatt started figuring out more complicated songs on his own. By 10 Wyatt was playing guitar at a pro level in church and out. Because of his ability to learn at a rapid rate, Wyatt quickly took over the lead guitar position. At 11 years old Wyatt and his father joined a professional gospel group, REV. PALMER and the MESSENGERS OF HOPE, and began performing all around South Carolina. He has always been a feature player pleasing audiences everywhere with his phenomenal ability on guitar. Wyatt has also learned to play bass, drums, keyboard, mandolin, trumpet, slide guitar, and has always been singing. Ranny began playing Blues and Southern Rock shows in the 70s and into the 80s. And along with Wyatt's mother, Dana, on bass, formed a sort of retro psychedelic band in the late 80s before moving to downtown New York City. Wyatt was born in 1992.
Now as the WYATT GAREY BAND their Blues and Rock N' Roll shows (including opening for the legendary Leon Russell, Headlining at New York's Famous Knitting Factory, performing at the 2008 Sarasota Blues Festival along with Bobby Rush, JJ Grey & Mofro, Bob Margolin and others) are sure to please with so many diverse styles to draw from Rock, Blues, Funk, Gospel, and more. All soulfully blended together combined with some the best backing musicians from the area's Gospel community.
In addition to his other activities, Wyatt also played trumpet in his schools marching and symphonic band and played lead guitar in his middle school jazz band. Wyatt has also found the time to perform in many different all kid and teenage Rock groups from the now legendary 6 Foot Rabbit when the kids were 11-13, and more recently Stonehouse who were winners in the first round of the local battle of the bands against much older groups. Also finding time to perform regularly with the Lowcountry Blues Club making Wyatt Garey one of the hardest working musicians at any age you will ever come across. Wyatt turned 17 on May 12, 2009.

Nice picture. Unfortunately, I was hobbled by an ankle problem and was unable to make the trip to Sarasota. First miss since 2002. The problem is now cured thanks to the steroids that the doctor put me on. Hope the filming went well on the 24th.
Thanks for the greeting. Wish I could've heard you up on the stage with Ruby. Bet that was alot of fun. What song did ya'll do together?
We're all disappointed that ya'll won't be making it to the wedding next weekend. The reception is going to be at the Visulite Theatre, a really cool place. Masonboro Boys plays there alot. Ya'll would've fit right in. Sons of Bill is coming in for a private concert during the party. The photographer is from Charleston. Her portfolio is very interesting and creative. Hopefully she'll get some good photos for you to see.
