WYJO [Warwickshire Youth jazz Orchestra] is part of Warwickshire County Music Service. A jazz orchestra- it comprises 22 student musicians from throughtout the county. The band is well known in the local area and beyond for its lively and entertaining shows. In addition to the standard big band line up we feature a 3 man percussion section and 2 vocalists! We play swing, funk and Latin-American music.

Yo funksters. Random comment here, but I might have a spare ticket going for the LPO performing a rendition of Stravinsky's 'Rite of Spring' at the Royal Festival Hall on 26/27th June. The bitchin' programme includes Glass's prelude from 'Akhnaten' and Varese's 'Arcana'. Marin Alsop is conducting. Should be an excellent concert, so if anyone would be interested in going then gimme a shout. Funk on!
