I don't always have time to write and ask you for permission to play your music or even to listen to all of your music, even though I definitely wish I did. I listen to new music for Wylde Radio approximately 12-16 hours a day and only have 8 hours a week that I get to play DJ. I can't guarantee I'll spin your music, but it makes it a lot easier to get your material heard on the air if you send me a couple of songs. I take your sending the songs as permission to spin them and I'll drop you a line letting you know when you're added to the playlist so you can let your fans know. The only requirements are that the music must be your own, (not a friends or a friend of a friends), and it absolutely must not be signed with a major label (RIAA reporting). Despite some goofy moron spreading a rumor to several of my fans and friends that I spin mainstream music now, Wylde Radio has always been about the support and promotion of the independent scene-independent label and unsigned artists only. While some DJ's spin whatever they want, major label or not at KWTF, my own reason for doing this is the support and promotion of the local underground and independent scene. I don't personally care what anyone else spins... metal is metal and ALL of it is good and needs our help! Arbitron and Neilson didn't even consider hard rock a genre until 2006, much less metal!

I know for me personally, so much of my life has been in extreme darkness, but I like to think that now I can be thankful for those times, recognize the lighter times and be more appreciative and thankful for them. Plus, I love dark art and music, so it's good to be able to pull from the dark moments in creativity! :)
