Since 1997 Manuel G. Richter is working on experimental composing and sonic art under the moniker XABEC, released some vinyl and cd albums on the german Hands label, Drone Records and a lot of compilation tracks on various labels. He played many live gigs all over europe.
Xabec's music spans the depths between ambient and sound art, between industrial, electronica and modern laptop music. Suspension dominates and the music takes its time to illuminate even the smallest of nuances. Experimentally noisy, subtly woven sound tapestries take the listener through unique soundscapes. Sound color is the vital ingredient of the intensive composition. Other central parameters are dynamics and the perpetual flow of sounds.
Besides his own projects Manuel was co-producing and co-writing Anne Clarks new album "The Smallest Acts Of Kindness", Annes first studio album since more than 10 years. He also did many re-mixes and compositions for Orphx, Hecq, Atmogat, Contagious Orgasm, Floating Stone, Flint Glass, Funker Vogt, Dope Stars Inc, Implant, Polarlicht 4.1 and others.
Xabec is pro human and pro nature. Here is no place for extreme ideologies and fundamentalism. Here is no place for nazi crap or unclear political statements of labels or bands. Fuck you please.
