xAnal Firthx began in summer of 2009 as a parody/satire goregrind band. They chose the name as a combination of stereotypes; the X's at the beginning and end, the overplayed and slightly cliche first word Anal, and of course, Firth of Vic Firth drum sticks. The group was devised as an musical outlet for violent and angry emotions, and two demos were recorded; Enter The Firth and Rectal Dismemberment. The project was supposed to be retired into obscurity, but an odd wave of interest sparked the band to record the Rotting Genitalia EP, xAnal Firthx's most popular piece yet, which increased their prominence in the world of really bad underground music. Hot on the heels of The Rotting Genitalia EP came two experimental recordings; xAnal Firthx is Doomed, which showed the band evolving to make fun of doom metal, and xAnal Firthx Unplugged, which showcased Vaughn's awful guitar playing and CJ's spoken word acquiescence for their first ever acoustic performance. As of 11/22/09, xAnal Firthx has begun playing live shows and, once new equipment is acquired, will start touring.
