xander Greene started playing music as an infant. after getting a muppets trap set for christmas, he fell in love with percussion. xander has played the violin, piano, trombone, baritone horn, flute, coronet, tympani, marimba, xylophone, traps, guitar, bass, etc.....
xander's professional career began at the age of 15, becoming the principal percussionist/drummer for the Chagrin Valley Little Theater for two years. xander then went off to Ohio State University, where he promptly dropped out. after moving to Colorado, xander picked up the guitar. guitar is the only instrument xander has no formal training in. the lack of training clearly shows in his unique approach. he has had the pleasure to share the stage with many talented musicians.
xander has been musically influenced by living in Kabul Afghanistan, Bogota Columbia, The Hague, The Netherlands, Cleveland Ohio, Taos New Mexico, L.A. California, and all over beautiful Colorado. he currently resides in Jamestown, Colorado (home of the somewhat feral), with his dog, Philbert M. Dog.
xander's current project is ZUVUYA with michael travis (string cheese incident, EOTO) and jamie janover (zilla, sporque, the everyone orchestra etc...........). xander is also engrossed in many solo projects. xander plays Godin guitars exclusively!
